LEATHERMAN customer service and warranty are TOP notch!

I sent them two LEATHERMANS for repair. One was a Super Tool that was worn out and the wire cutters were toast. The other one a Skelitool with a broken jaw.

They sent me back a Brand New Leatherman Super Tool 300, and a repaired Skelitool.

I'm a customer for life!

I always have my Leatherman on me. I have it and a Magtac flash light in a surplus 9mm pouch on my belt.

Note to myself-

I'm gonna have to elaborate later, but yesterday was EPIC.

Cliff notes version: Went to 345 appt, had my foot shot. Then rode down the street to Flemings, saw Bill, Bill told Fleming's to buy us $200 worth of dinner. Then Angie and Sam sat in their usual captain's table, on the other side of the glass from us. I had brought a cheap bottle of WA state primitivo. They sent us a bottle of 2018 Pessimist. Our bill was only $78 dollars, and we must've had somewhere between $300-400 at full price.

Will edit. Deserves to be in the other thread, hmm.

Yeah, don't know if what all happened was just luck or, actually, love.

Brad,

I would say some good luck, and a lot of love! Glad you had a really great day!

It has been raining and windy all day. The trees have become ice covered.

In case you wondered what was in the optional XB tool roll? I came across this page in my stuff the other day:

I loved that kit. Not snap-on quality, but they got the job done. I carried mine in an agri tube on the Uly. I did snap off the ball on one of the hex keys trying to remove that one piece in the swingarm while changing a belt. That was hassle!

I only used the ball when the fastener was just finger tight. Not snap-on for sure, but what was needed.

It is funny they provided the spark plug wrench but did not provide the tools to get to those plugs. The spark wrench is the least uncommon tool you need to take it out.

A short piece of 1/4" fuel line and anti seize is all you need with the tools supplied.

You have to rotate the engine to reach the spark plug cables to disconnect them and as result you need a bunch of another tools including scissors jack and rear wheel stand. If you want to reach the spark plugs without engine rotation you need at least special pliers for spark plug cables and it is not appropriate way to reach the spark plugs because you can't make sure you connected the spark plug wires properly.

So sayeth the troll.

I never had any trouble with the spark plugs on any of my Buells; or my wife's or my step daughter's.

Then again; he's probably as good at turning wrenches as he is at being a valuable contributor to a forum.

Jeez Tpehak, I am sorry you feel all that is necessary. I managed to change out the spark plugs and wires on the Uly just fine without rotating the engine. I didn't even need the 1/4" fuel line. I carefully used the extension in the tool kit and went between the frame and airbox. Perhaps you should spend some quality time reading through the maintenance threads to gain some wisdom and understanding about these most awesome motorcycles.

I’ve done plug changes on XB models many times (including last week) - engine rotation is not necessary.

IIRC I had to rotate the 1125 for the front plug.
Just changed the plugs in the Uly, total PITA but didn’t touch any motormounts.
Used the big Buell toolkit.
I also have a smaller kit for Blasts, in the Westwind.

I started looking at the weather for the next few days. This one is setting at 74 right now. I kicked myself in the hind side and cleared a path for Lil Red. Man, did that ride do me some good. No, Crusty, I did not wash it.

Where has life went in such a hurry? I used to listen to Terry Jacks' "Seasons In The Sun". I tend toward flipping him off now days. Everything changes and people pass away, but I'm not gone yet. That Crusty is a good friend. He will even let you rant when your mind ain't right. Not everyone gets to hear me complain. If I live passed midnight I'll see 61. I have been most blessed.

And here we go again:

Walls are open and all but one triple switch in installed.

There are 4 circuit breakers feeding those outlets.

I am making a foundation of new dri-wall for the back splash that is going in. Installing a triple switch to take over the duties of this wire nest and three single switches:

I am odd when it comes to wiring. This will replace that mess.

I know what it means:
