I really have to order a Guy Fawkes mask.  It's your choice, as of this morning, anyway, to get vaccinated or not. If I was going to take an airliner with recirculation of foul air and no room to move, I'd really want immunity. Next weekend is my appointment, and I'll be sure to thank the nice folk including the Guard guys, just as I did both times I took my elderly Mother. I'll also loudly thank Donald. But not Andrew, as his policies have, as expected, led to unnecessary death, suffering, lost jobs and more crowded courts. Other States without egotistical micromanaging scum in charge have already done a much better job by simply sending vaccine to drug stores equipped to give you shots, hospitals and doctor's offices, instead of demanding 100% credit & control over who lives and dies. I would not complain about the center set up for shots if it was an alternative for those who have a hard time finding a local drug store. There are few in "bad" parts of many cities. I don't know other cities as well, but in Rochester, NY, in the Imperium, the center is at the old county fair site, which is one block or less from 3 pharmacies, and not even close to "in Rochester", being in the suburbs. If you were picking a location that didn't need a vaccination center, this is it. Meanwhile the City owns a few million square feet of empty office and mall space in the heart of Rochester that would be logical. But I doubt the Emperor thought to ask anyone with a brain so... All this complaint is not with the good folk trying their best. Just the accused sexual predator, mass homicidal, corrupt dishonest Overlord. And I'm being polite.  | ||

One of my big complaints about panic porn fake science, like Global Warming and the seas boiling, is that not only is is basically a scam to steal your income, freedom, and Anime collection, it distracts from, and robs the funding for, real problems in the subject being hyped beyond reality. In the case of Global Freezing ( 1977 ) the one really smart idea was to establish food storage facilities, and have emergency supplies for the upcoming Crop failures as the Earth plunged into an Ice Age. I assume that the politicians realized that money spent on something that actually could be counted, "Hey, there's supposed to be 5000 tons of powdered milk here, and the warehouse is empty!" would make it harder to steal the money. ( money spent to "facilitate" lowering the oceans by pure Woke Willpower, otoh, can go into bank accounts of SOOOOO many relatives. ) So there never were any actual preparations made in case of crop failure. Every dime spent sending Saint Gretta's minders and personal chef around the world, every dollar given to Solyndra, every million dollars stolen by the UN representatives to the Climate Change Excuse Council from Zimbabwe, is money not available to clean up the giant toxic lakes of radioactive sludge from battery and electric motor rarite production. Every billion stolen from your future to go into some rich European Windmill maker, can't be used to clean up the giant plastic island in the Pacific. But that's really just a side issue, the REAL problem is that When a politician hauls a tame actor in a white lab coat up before the public and announces the End Of The World, IF IT EVER ACTUALLY IS GOING TO HAPPEN, no one will believe it. We've had decades of the sky is falling screaming and only ignorant fools, or Harvard Grads believe it. The sky is still there. Hypothetically, If NASA announced the next Dino Killer Asteroid is on it's way, there'd be a little panic rioting, a lot of exploitation looting, and a large minority wouldn't believe it was real, that NASA is just lying for more money like it has all century.
