Numbers go up purely due to the methods used for testing.

In other words, if you have CCP and you get decapitated, you died from CCP.

A coworker's son tested positive 4 weeks ago. So he quarantined his son upstairs and sanitized the downstairs. The son was mildly ill, NOT as bad as flu, and tested positive for 3 weeks. Coworker remained negative at weekly tests. On the 4th week, both tested negative, and yesterday they both tested negative again.

I asked the son what the experience was like, and to rate it against other illnesses he has personally suffered.

"Two years ago, the flu kicked my ass. This was like a constant headache, couldn't smell anything, and not much more."

Commie Virus Death Toll update. Some uptick in Spain, so back to including the Euro data again. Zero deaths in Sweden for weeks now according to their reporting. The USA's southern surge is about over. You can maybe detect an effect from the Labor Day weekend. Will see.

Haven't see one headline about the Whu-Flu the last few days, maybe longer. I guess with the Supreme Court fight and Trumps taxes, the Virus is no longer a threat.

There's the expected Dr. Fauci warning that F!u Season will result in Covid-19 upswing. As will Thanksgiving travel, Xmas season and the alien invasion/civil war/Black Friday...

But also, the CDC announced something!

https://news.yahoo.com/obesity-arizona-could-coron avirus-illnesses-123000164.html

Which makes sense, even if

"Racial and ethnic minority groups have historically not had fair opportunities for economic, physical, and emotional health, and these inequities have increased the risk of getting sick and dying from COVID-19 for some groups,” the agency said. “Many of these same factors are contributing to the higher level of obesity in some racial and ethnic minority groups.”

Is partly bull since it doesn't count the poor folk not in their select groups. Aka class envy/racist agitation. But that fat is a risk factor? Yep.

Nope, no Asian fungus for me this fall.

A pilot social control and power integration anti smoking program. Maybe an efficient Brave New World cyberpunk dystopia creation strategy. Hmm.

Nope can't find the "pandemic is over" announcement yet...

I was really out of shape a couple years ago. It had nothing to do with money. I was lazy. Sat on my ass and did nothing. Decided I had enough and wanted to be healthy so I could be around a long time for my wife and son. Stopped eating fast foods, stopped drinking soft drinks (only drink water now except red wine on occasion), started intermittent fasting and HIIT workouts. Lost 70 pounds from the comfort of my own home and only spent a few bucks on some dumbbells.

If you want to you can live a pretty healthy lifestyle from anywhere with any budget. Why do we always have to make excuses for self destructive behaviors?

Because it's always somebody elses fault.

Personal responsibility is a thing of the past.

I will admit - it does cost more to buy good food, than it does to buy crap. And I'm not talking "organic" - I don't buy into that any more than I do climate change - but compare processed, prepackaged stuff's price to actual make-it-yourself fresh ingredients and you can see the price difference.

You also have to pay attention, to get good food. Look at the ingredient list in some of the most common foods...but people don't pay attention any more than they take responsibility for themselves.

I’ve gone from 272# to 193# today. Much as Macbuell described . . . . I sriopped eating cheeseburgers for 2 meals a day and considering fries my vegetable.

I still enjoy my Five Guys and BBQ . . . . Just not 6 times a week.

Blood pressure dropped to “ ideal” .... no problem running 5 miles or biking 50.

I don’t prescribe to anyone but enjoy everything in my life from work to riding being more fun.

Joe, throw in there that if you buy the ingredients to cook healthy, the shelf life makes them even more expensive. In the old days, people would shop daily for their meals, and rarely bought more than would keep in their pantry. Staples like flour, sugar, salt are never a problem, but if you live alone or with a partner, bake a loaf of bread or a pie and you get tired of it before it expires...:-)

Oh yeah, I know. Single guy, no kids - I have to shop smart, and I end up freezing a lot of stuff.

Not to mention the "work" of actually having to prep food.

An option is stuff like HelloFresh...but it's also expensive as hell.

It's "easier" and "cheaper" to eat like crap. It's also "easier" to sit around and do nothing...as opposed to 5.5 miles a day on the mountain bike, or 1000M a day on the rowing machine.

The hard part is staying motivated.

From what I see the processed foods are a LOT more expensive than basic staple foods.

Most dry goods like rice, black-eyed peas, mixed beans, split peas, etc can be had for around $1 per lb. Whole chickens routinely sells for $1.79 per lb at my grocer. A dozen eggs is just over $2.

People all over the world live on staples like rice and beans. Add a few eggs or some meat for flavor, your favorite spices, and its a very good meal. Whole pork loin, a very lean healthy cut of meat, routinely goes on sale for well under $2 per lb where I get groceries at Brookshires.

Preparation is simple, especially in a pressure cooker. I work from home, and typically have dinner ready shortly after Michele returns home from the office. Once the 2 lbs of rice and 2 lbs of beans have been prepared, they last for days in the fridge, or longer in the freezer. Save the broth from the chicken for cooking the dry goods, awesome.

If I wanted to, I could easily get by with under $100 per month for my own food and be content. Easily.

I think you'd find that education, lack thereof, is a major factor in the diet of the "oppressed".

Insert a lengthy rant on how the "Food Pyramid" pushed on us for decades is a prescription for obesity and diabetes here. : )

Chicken breast is the best food there is. Healthy, great source of protein and cook up one large breast you can get 3 completely different meals out of it. With the sides included, all for about the price of two value meals.

If I eat more rice (apologies to NoRice), I'll have less need for TP.

Not just for "orientals".

My Dominican sweetie's version of picadillo will make you swoon... especially if you get some of the "pegado", 'con-con", whatever they call the crispy/burnt rice at the bottom of the pot.

Rice "cooker"?

OK, I do get the convenience/easy factor. M managed to teach her BF how to cook rice properly, in a pot with a lid. Said BF could've easily been a professional chef, she's such a great and natural cook. Rice isn't difficult to cook, but great rice takes a bit of skill.

Oh wow, sorry- had a bit of logorrhea just then, might need some Tp for my pie-hole.

HERETIC!!!!

I like my rice cooker. Zero attention required and it takes up no burner on the stove top. It's a kitchen gadget I actually use. Sure, I could use a stove, or a fire pit, or a solar collector, but I got it for Christmas and I appreciate the lazy it allows.

It's a silly thing to get worked up about.

However....

Wasn't this just reported by the CDC? So the Fake News attacks for reasons I don't get.

I thought Whole Foods was Jeff Bezos's big Woke expensive grocery store for rich yuppies? I've never seen one.

According to CDC reports there are 4 major "risk factors" aka the Wuhan Virus is especially likely to help kill you, IF...

1. You are over 70.

2. You have diabetes. ( and the complications from )

3. You are obese.

4. You live under Democrat Rule.

There are other preexisting conditions that crank up your odds, like heart disease, COPD, and probably walking through human feces and used heroin needles. ( but that last is just #4... And the other 2 frequently go with #3 )
