The problem with the Judicial branch arises when judges go from being umpires to being active participants.
This clearly goes against the Constitution.

Glad to see Trump is going to go ahead with the nomination.
As someone said, "He may be up for reelection but he is still the President".
As President it is his duty and his right to act.

If this is so, then some of the dislike for Notorious RBG, that she refused to retire while ill for Partisan reasons is untrue, it was for Feminist reasons. Some may consider that worse or equally bad, but it's certainly understandable.
I grasp the sentimental view even if I don't agree with the decision.
