Campsite located, I will be staying at the Ottawa lake campground in the Wisconsin state parks system. (I think I got the last one too.) See you Thursday.
For timing purposes, Waze says a direct route from Gus's to Uke's takes about 45 minutes. Allowing for a more leisurely or scenic route, we'll say 75 minutes?? That would mean kickstand up at 12:45 from Gus's. If we end up on a direct route, we'll be early!!
I'll be anchored at the Quality Inn in East Troy thru Saturday, and my hangout will be Gus's...assuming they don't toss me off the property at some point for vagrancy! I strongly suggest folks post and/or monitor HERE for any plans that might sprout up last minute or second!
Gotta pack!! See you folks tomorrow, Thursday for sure!
So at this point I have been contacted by the following for our Uke's tour tomorrow at 2:00: Canario Mscrounger Redridergr 1313 + Chris me
Small crowds are fine, but is anyone else interested? If so, post here or send a PM so I can provide a ballpark count to Brenda at Uke's. Also, let me know if you would plan to meet us at Uke's or ride from Gus's. Also be sure to let Steve and Doris know if you're a breakfast person!
I just anchored in ET, and hear a cheeseburger calling my name!
If you guys didn't see the Facebook post - I had to cancel the event at the Aagaard Moto Foundry this Friday. The whole COVID thing makes large groups a no go. I have very much enjoyed hosting you all over the last 3 years, and will pick it up again in 2021.
Completely understand Chaz, this would have been my first time at the foundry. But it gives me something to look forward to next year. Enjoying a nice breakfast at the princess as i type this
I am driving to Uke's now from Rest area south of E.T. I was saddened to see the old factory has new tenants..... but more so saddened by hippocratic policy at Gus's. Must order & eat outside.... for safety, but come inside to urinate and defecate? Some people really drink the social conditioning kool-aid. Hopefully Uke's is not like this!
The countdown thread was made for unification. There are plenty of different beliefs within our community of Buellers. We can't even agree on what oil to use. I really doubt that anyone will win others over to their take on the truth. I have a few friends. I don't agree with all of them on everything. I could push buttons and get swung on. HomeComing is about sharing the love/hate we have for Buell motorcycles. There are plenty of places to argue or preach to the choir on the web. Some of the very people you don't agree with could shed light on Buell history that you have not an inkling of. Please, be polite to all involved and compromise your egos for a short vacation. I assure you it is well worth it. Take a break and smile when you want to frown. Just because the bible says to test the spirits in the church. It doesn't mean you have to step on everyones toes all the time. Dance a little, live a little, laugh a little. It is better than man made medicine.
