Heading to ground...

CCP Virus Daily Death Toll. The Chinese Communist Mob Did this. A quarter of a million plus dead and counting.

Texas holding strong.

My sister works with seniors and people who have had strokes and throat surgery, helping them learn to speak and swallow effectively again. Four of her patients and a colleague tested positive last week. My sister tested negative. A friend from PA in law enforcement tested positive and has recovered and is donating plasma for the antibodies, which he said turned out to be a lengthy red tape laden ordeal. Another friend, old college and offshore oil rig buddy lost an aunt early on. She'd just retired and had been enjoying holiday seeing Egypt with her husband. He also tested positive, but recovered at home while his wife died in hospital in Florida.

It's all just data until it hits close to home.

An interesting aspect of the above plot:

Assuming that the trend lines are close enough to represent their actual dataset overall, which is not necessarily the case, then:

The area under each trend line equals the total per-capita death toll (deaths per million per day * days = deaths per million), so that comparing for example Sweden (double dashed red trend line) vs the EEA (dashed purple trend line) you can see that Sweden's death toll from days 7 to 43 exceeds that of the EEA, and that would be equal to the area between those two curves, but after day 43 the EEA death rate exceeds that of Sweden and the area between the curves from then on indicates the overall difference. .

If those two areas between the curves are equal, then the overall death toll per million will be equal. If the latter area between the curves is greater, then the EEA death toll per million will exceed that of Sweden. In both cases, the Swedish outcome seem preferable.

Anyone care to integrate...

Sweden's trend line for x = 0 to 54:
y = -0.0004x3 + 0.0239x2 - 0.0311x - 0.1015

EEA's trend line for X = 0 to 64
y = -0.000x3 + 0.014x2 - 0.023x - 0.129

The actual total per capita mortality for Sweden is currently 277 per million.

The EEA's (EU + UK + Norway, Iceland, & LIchtenstein) actual total per capita mortality is about 278 million considering that the EEA dataset hasn't yet updated for the last two days (it's missing the last two days of data).

TP:

>>> All that meat is probably infected by asymptomatic workers.

I plan on cooking mine.

And since "infected" implies diseased, meaning virally reproducing, maybe "contaminated" is the better term, and that applies to most everything that people may touch in the grocery store.

Pork is supposed to be cooked to 145? They bumped it up 5 recently.

But for leftists, rights are to be cooked to over done, like a Trump steak.

From the FDA at https://www.fda.gov/food/food-safety-during-emerge ncies/food-safety-and-coronavirus-disease-2019-cov id-19

"Do I need to recall food products produced in the facility during the time that the worker was potentially shedding virus while working? (Posted March 17, 2020)

"We do not anticipate that food products would need to be recalled or be withdrawn from the market because of COVID-19, as there is currently no evidence to support the transmission of COVID-19 associated with food or food packaging.

"Additionally, facilities are required to control any risks that might be associated with workers who are ill regardless of the type of virus or bacteria. For example, facilities are required to maintain clean and sanitized facilities and food contact surfaces."

Does that mean that I'll get asymptomatic Wuhan virus?

That won't bother me a bit.

I have nephews that dairy farm. One mentioned that cows get coronavirus, so I started a little research.
https://hoards.com/article-27439-can-i-catch-coron avirus-from-my-cows.html
https://www.nationalhogfarmer.com/livestock/can-pi gs-catch-covid-19
https://bangordailynews.com/2020/03/03/homestead/c hickens-are-carriers-of-the-coronavirus-heres-what -poultry-owners-need-to-know/

Coronaviruses are a diverse family of RNA viruses characterized by the club-like spikes that project from their surface. The viral strains that have caused respiratory disease in people and those that infect cattle are different.

But, I started wondering if the 'testing' is specific enough to only give positives to the Wuhan strain or any of the family of viruses? And maybe that's the reason all these meat packing working are testing positive but asymptomatic.
I'm sure all those brighter than me folks with MDs at the end of their names are already looking into that?

Coronaviruses have been causing the common cold (among other things) for millenia.

The family of virus has been around for ages; this is simply a new (engineered?) strain.

The trend in USA death rate that Sifo noticed continues, where Sunday's and Mondays are consistently lower than the previous five days. It repeats going back for the last six weeks.

Curious.

Either the data reporting is being weekend affected, or the weekend medical staff is doing a better job, or the weekday staff has a number of psychopaths, or... ?

A nurse tried to kill me once, fed straight sodium chloride into my IV. I felt the intense burning and pinched off the IV line. He apologized and re-rigged the NaCl to mix and dilute with the saline. But he neglected to replace the length of tube going to my arm, which was still full of straight NaCl. I called it to his attention. He apologized again and replaced the tube.

Can a nurse really be that incompetent. I thought so at the time. I think the NaCl would have looked like a heart attack, and chest pain possible heart attack is what brought me to the ER. Hmmm...

Makes me wonder how many psychos there are out there in the medical field. Way too easy to kill people and get away with it. Lots of cases of it on the books. How many are missed.

Just thinking out loud.

No, it wasn't a heart attack. It was electrolyte deficiency and acid reflux. I'd been working outside in the East Texas Summer humid heat, drinking water by the gallon. It was life threatening, but easily rectified, unlike a heart attack.

Not sure if this has been posted yet, my apologies if it has. Recent publication (11/20/19) of a coronavirus patent, European Patent Office. I thought the timing was rather suspicious.

Supposedly that patent has been debunked by Snopes and others as not related to the ChiCom Virus but the timing of it is what I can't get over.

https://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2020/05/the_p ast_may_hold_the_answer_to_getting_america_back_to _work.html

I'm going to say... No. This is half baked and not all the old ways are worth repeating.

Sure, leeches have made a comeback in post surgical treatment. But that's to reduce swelling in plastic surgery, to be able to get actors back in front of cameras ( or society Madames & Messrs, ready for that Fund raiser ) And for thousands of years, rich people are well known marks for selling goat feces facials and gold foil pedicures to in the pursuit of profiting on the desire for eternal youth.

Leeches do work! Don't misunderstand, and so will variolation, But the side effects are like a tv advertised drug... Will include painful death, pneumonia, dead children & grandparents. Crippling lifelong lung damage, and failure to get reelected.

Meanwhile, many of us have some dread disease that might not be the biological warfare assault on our planet from the Chinese Communist Party, and would appreciate some medical care lockdown restriction easing soon, please.

That has to be balanced against the risk of infection from office visits, both by patients and care personnel.

The "if it saves ONE life!" mantra is both hypocritical from many, and mistaken in concept. The death toll from delayed cancer treatment alone, just to pick one time sensitive condition, is going to be shocking when this Experiment is analyzed in coming years.

Are you aware of any alternate sources ?

Right. . Wrong . . . Or total lunacy . . . I am reluctant to have the idiots at some video provider deciding what I should think.

They volunteered to leave home and HELP. Presumably, they figured their home office (normal job), in their home state, would pay them. Or, at least, they would get paid as residents of...say...PA, where they lived.

I know all MY income tax is based on state of residence, not state of compensation...

Blaming the current governor for the tax code is a bit wrong though, don’t you think? I’d lay that at the feet of the state legislature.
