In our house, it's been a long standing joke that if it doesn't involve the serious injury or death waiver, it's probably not worth doing. I would imagine that the threshold for requiring such a waiver has gotten so low that it doesn't even spark the question of being dangerous anymore. | ||

Considering the nerf gun ban mentioned in another thread...I think EVERYTHING is "too dangerous" these days, and people have zero grasp of actual danger anymore. We're simply too insulated from reality - video game baseball and football instead of real football and baseball and skinned knees and bee stings and sunburn. No "free range kids" anymore who just have to be home when the streetlights turn on...but otherwise can do whatever they want, wherever, with whomever. There is no frame of reference anymore. "Danger" is an abstract. And that's sad. | ||
