Thanks Mark, For posting the Roast. It reminds us just how much we take things and ourselves too seriously. As Sammy said,"One of the great joys is to have people that love you make fun of you....Cause the day they don't make fun of you, that means they don't give a damn about you. I thank you..."
That's a very innovative looking aircraft! I have doubts that it will make it in the real world with that sort of design, but he did kind of point out that many changes were likely before a production design. I'd like to see it actually take off and land vertically, such as a helipad at a hospital. OTOH, do you then tie up the hospital helipad for many hours while you recharge the batteries? It seems to be one of the first downfalls of any electric vehicle. Still, if people don't push the technological boundaries, those boundaries will never change.
They also said it was a test bed. An engineering exercise. A way to know what questions had to be asked and answered to solve engineering problems they didn’t even know they had. It was never intended to be produced.
Day 1 with Cora, a rescue of questionable breeding. 11 months old female. Had to be given up because the previous owner became terminally ill. Walks well on a leash. Little barking so far. Took a brush to her and she just sat right down and enjoyed the attention. I think we got a winner!
