Very nice! I had the good luck to head down to Vonore on Tuesday afternoon and meet up with my best bud and his girl, head out on the pontoon to swim a bit... watched the sun set, then one of the marinas put on a fireworks show that rivaled the city of Maryville or Alcoa.
Looked for a 10 shot Roman candle that I've got here at the house last nite, couldn't find it. Watched all the local nutters blow stuff up around us, then came in and watched 2/3 of "Independence Day" with Will Smith and Jeff Goldblum, went to bed. About to head to the Smokies and get in the river, picnic. Hotter than dammit here.
Slept in until almost 7:30, made a pound of bacon to go with breakfast, worked with the big dog's training and then did some serious relaxing in front of the TV with my son.
Did not see fireworks this year. It's way to dry in Arizona this year for fireworks.
Went fishing. Lake not like I expected. Took a scalpel to an axe fight. Fished from my paddle board, with ulralight gear. The fish were bogged up in heavy cover. I needed a bass boat and a flipping stick.
So, no big bass. But I did find a few nice bluegill and crappie.
