For some reason beyond my comprehension, I can't embed this video. However, it's still my all time favorite ad:

Ohhhh the things I'd love to do to...er...with Lindsey Stirling.

Check out the dancing -

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sf6LD2B_kDQ

It's hard enough to get your shoulderblades 4" off the ground...WITHOUT playing a violin at the same time! (And I've dated ballerinas and choreographers)

Then, there's performing with a violin...ON POINT:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=49tpIMDy9BE

...and of course...she just ROCKS:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TCL94-MsxYc

I'm not a musical theatre guy as a rule, but Phantom is one show that I've always wanted to work on. And this version of the song is incredible.

From a production / sound company standpoint, I would LOVE to work with someone like her. Just amazing - original, talented, and a fantastic twist on a few different genres of performance (ballet, classical music, show tunes, dubstep).

From a "guy" standpoint....well...we won't go there in a public forum

I discovered Lindsey when she did "radioactive" with Pentatonix.

DAng.

And a fan of Halestorm....

The bad relationship song.

It's funny, two of my best friends have opposite musical taste. One loves Metal, the other loathes it. Both agree on Johnny Cash.

A cover song... whoever picked it for the Logan trailer was brilliant. ( and the Director didn't know about it until it was released ) But the official video is best.

Top 10 Female Guitarists of All Time

It's rare when I agree with a list like this.

I've freaked out some kids with my music choices... Playing Cherry Bomb by the Runaways for the first time for punk rock fans is always a joy.

Or cranking Evanescence on the car stereo, and passing goths... ( I prefer the live version, but the lyrics are understandable in the music video )

Or the Time I got tired of the 19 year old son of my fiancee playing Nine Inch Nails over and over and over and.... I bet you can guess the song. I asked him to play something else... just for a change, and when I picked up a disc, he started going off on how they were the "original Death Metal band, man, the Original!" ( honestly don't remember the band ) I had to laugh, and went upstairs and brought him down my copy of Paranoid by Black Sabbath. He'd never heard it. I told him I was going to go upstairs and slap his Momma! ( No, I certainly did not. )

Here's one of the best covers from that album. Samantha Fish.

Lindsey does a good song with Lzzy, the Shatter Me link I had above.

I've got a couple live bands I work with who do some bad-ass War Pigs covers. Of course, the drummer takes longer to set up than ALL of the rest of the band. Or my PA. Combined. I've also got one group: four white guys - an IT programmer, an insurance agent, an undertaker, and an athletic coach - who knock out an awesome live rock version of Run-DMC's "It's Tricky". Talk about fun stuff to do in a bar full of hammered hillbillies!!

I need to get my ass in gear and put some of my live recordings up on my website...

That would be Andy, our lead vocalist:

http://triplelindytheband.com/

also on harp, when Long Train Runnin' kicks in on the homepage. A.D.D., OCD, and a true force of nature on stage.

The other main group I work with:

http://guysinthinties.com/

Most of their stuff on youtube is before I started doing their front of house work, I need to get some of mine up on my website and get masters to the guys so they can post current stuff. Hell, we don't even have Mark (mohawk) on guitar anymore - he's been gone a little over a year now!

I love Johnny Cash's version of Hurt better than Nine Inch Nails. You can feel the full emotion of all his years coming through.

https://spinditty.com/genres/Johnny-Cash-Hurt-The- Story-Behind-The-Video

“Trent Reznor was born to write that song, but Johnny Cash was born to sing it, and Mark Romanek was born to film it.” Bono

I met Johnny Cash when I was a young kid. My adopted dad took me to one of his mom's practices and he was there. (his mom sang backup for many of the old country legends). I have been a big fan even before that.

I'm with you on Hurt.

Here is another example of a singer who makes the song their own.
Grace was only thirteen at the time she recorded this. She can touch your heart.

Airbozo, thanks for that link.... Hearing that song over & over in those videos is haunting.

The director of Logan said the Trailer was a surprise to him... I thought the music made the last of the trilogy somehow more profound than a Superhero movie is supposed to be. Not a perfect film, not a cheerful romp, but the R rating, finally gave us the look at the moral and violence issues that come with Wolverine. After all, this is a guy who was made, deliberately, into a living weapon, and has knives that come out of his hands. Powerpuff Girls, this ain't.

I appreciate trailers that don't give too much away, and even are a little deceiving, I can't stand when a trailer makes me feel like I've seen all the good parts, so why bother going to see the movie? So If you're ready for tears again...

That guy that did the Toto cover does an awesome cover of Adele's "Hello". I'm not a fan of Adele, but his cover is great.

Yeah, I’ve watched that video about 50 times. The guest guitarist and singer are a couple, and each have their own things. I have some of his albums. The girl can sing crazy good.

Thanks guys. Found a new channel to listen to at work. I'm going through all his covers now.

Loved the Feel Good Inc. cover. Something about a guy in a bunny suit playing a flying V just cracks me up.

What really made me laugh were some of the folks in the video. They acted like it was normal to see a bunny jamming through the mall...
