How is this different from what Obama did when he used the national park police to shut down the national parks because there was no money to pay the national park police? Malicious use of government to punish political foes without regard to the people he was supposed to serve. You mean when BO himself put out the order to make it "as painful as possible"? Who had control of the federal judicial system during that time period? For the record, I believe these folks are getting their just deserts. I just wish all men (and women) were treated equally under the law. Speaking of being treated equally under the law, I saw a report the other day claiming that sanctuary cities are looking for ways to skirt federal laws. They are actually looking to avoid charging illegals with felonies, so that they can avoid the laws that require them to report them to ICE. More absolutely INSANE liberal logic.  So if a normal citizen commits a crime, they will get the full hammer of the law coming down on them. An illegal alien does the same crime, and they will bend over backward to not charge them with that crime. Sure sounds like a plan to attract the right kinds of people to that city! Never mind the idea that we are a nation of laws, not a nation of men. Or women. Or genderless beings. Or... Screw this shit, I'm just going with "men". | ||

As I said in the meme thread...the Fed needs to cut off all funding and support for any "sanctuary city". No LEOs. No first responders. No infrastructure funding. No FEMA responses for disasters. Nice to see Australia come out in strong support of President Trump's bold action and swift response to the slaughter of civilians. It was August 31, 2013, over 500,000 Syrian deaths ago, that President Obama ( who also launched airstrikes or military raids in at least seven countries: Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, Libya, Yemen, Somalia and Pakistan) went to Congress seeking permission to launch such a strike. Unfortunately his failure to follow through, keep promises or be consistent and predictable allow such terrorists operate with impunity and without fear of reprisal. It's refreshing to see a United States President keep his word and do what he promised. It's also refreshing to see leaders around the world, as well as Democrats such as Shumer and Pelosi, coming out in support of the action. | ||

Once a satisfactory "post Assad" plan comes on the scene his life ain't worth a plug nickel and I've a hankering that a "farmer" (look it up, the feds still any they exist), like my best friend, will handle the details. I'm only a mild fan of President Trump but the threat was real, the need was present and he, just like I was trained, had his first couple rounds down range before anyone knew he was armed. The world is used to having a left over Ivy League pussy at the controls. They are fortunate they got a low-consequence "shot over the bow". P.S. - Don't think for a moment, as present as the Russians are in Syria, that they didn't know what was going on nor that, had they wanted to, they could have taken most the Tomahawks down as they lingered. I **think** (may not have heard correctly) that they got the "courtesy heads up" in advance like all the NATO countries. | ||
