Did some digging. The place we stayed in 2010 and the Thunderbolts played was Alpine Valley. Just outside of East Troy. Sounds like I should reserve June 2 thru June 9. Z | ||

In a desperate attempt to get some excitement into my life (2 mi., 365, commute on a Honda 250 doesn't do much for me) during the Winter I go and watch Momma Tried indoor Dr. Pepper concrete racing around an arena! The excitement doesn't last very long  | ||

Zac: Last year some of us stayed at what is now the Quality Inn, just a stone's throw from Buell Drive. They gave us a group rate and were happy to have us. I'm game to look into it again, although I've stayed at the Alpine prior years with no complaints. Watcha wanna do? Some guys camp down the road, too. Just sayin', but I've been to Homecoming the last 7 years, and EBR and Buell owners show up in East Troy regardless of whether bikes are rolling down the line or not. There's some posts on the web that imply Homecoming won't happen due to recent developments at EBR, but I plan to be there to chow down some health food at Gus's and other fine dining establishments there, ride the local geography and make the run to Elkhart Lake to watch some racing. This year I'll be making TWO runs to RA! I THINK there's usually a bike night in Milwaukee during the week, too. Until Spring officially arrives, activities and options are obviously TBD. | ||

There's some posts on the web that imply Homecoming won't happen due to recent developments at EBR I have read all kinds of stuff on the web. I have seen a lot of people that thought they knew something and said as much on the web. I will speak from history here. As long as there has been a HC countdown on BadWeb a Home Coming has happened at the end of it. Weather or not it is sponsored, it is on the way. | ||

I like Ordees logic. I'm down for standing in the parking lot of what used to be EBR if necessary. My son just bought a Buell. I would hate for this to be his first and last homecoming. I am still hopeful that EBR can get traction | ||

Understand Quality Inn, what's the local entertainment w/in 100 yards? Big plus with Alpine is the bar... is this still politically correct??? I do like single-barrel Bourbon, single-malt Scotch, Irish and wheated Bourbon whiskeys. I have been known to drink craft beers in public, Budweiser if necessary. I really enjoyed the 2 HCs I've attended, looking forward to eating at Gus' and meeting old friends again. Z | ||

Last several HCs at the Alpine have been during their "off" season: Golf hadn't really started with leagues, so the bar wasn't open for the few staying there (A couple of times I swear it was just me!) or was hit-and-miss as far as how late. East Troy's town square is just up the road from the Quality, a little further from the Alpine. Again, just sayin'. | ||

That is correct! I own this countdown. There is not another. I have made THE countdown mine! This countdown job would be easier if, some one would send me a set of side racks for an 08 XB12Scg. That is the kind of support I need. |
