Henshao Posted on Friday, April 22, 2016 - I'd love to see a list of things a sportster is better at than a Buell They are still being made. |

Looks good, and if it fits your inseam/dimensions, it's a great ride no doubt. Put a bigger fuel tank on an XR1200X and you're really getting close to my roundhouse, though. Seeing XR750s roar around the half mile in Columbus, OH as a kid made a lasting impression. |

It does look kinda cool I guess, in a sort of V-Max without the power kind of way |

If the chassis is sorted, we can double the power, for a small fee.... :-D Z |

Pics of the wheels on this new Sporty lifted from a Facebook post. Does something about them look familiar?

Not as bad as steel wheels with 40 spokes. |

I think your missing the point That design looks like its lifted right off the Buell drafting table. Open hub design Very Similar to the XB and even RX wheels It looks to be a more robust casting since the rotor is still in the traditional spot And yes Crusty, Steel wheels with spokes SUCK to clean. I spent many hours helping my dad clean the 100 twisted stainless spokes on his heritage softail |

^ There you go! Like Court said on the previous page: "Easy to tell where all the Buell folks went to work." |

Guess I'm in the minority, I think that may be the ugliest factory Sporty ever. |

Curious about that rear fender- I'd like a straight-on look from the rear. Out of the crate, looks like all the stupid reflector dingleberries they legislated we should all have back in the 70's are on there... OK, and here's this- how did that bike get a "stinkbug" looking rear end, and about every other sportbike made has to have some kind of retarded stick-contraption/subfender to hang a license plate? Meh- I'm certainly not a designer. |

Looks like they took the interdictory 883 that sold for $3495 in 1984 and bobbed the tail a bit. Never liked em. Had one. Sold it the week after I rode a big twin. The big twin makes the sporty feel like a rickety old banana seat woman's bicycle....lol. |

They need to bring back the XLCR with updated technology... |

Nobody would buy it if they did; just like with the original XLCR. Or the XR 1000. Or the XR 1200. The "Faithful" don't want any kind of improved performance. They want it to look and perform like it was made in 1957. |

In that case, I'll take a '56 KH. |

I have a friend who has a '56 KHK. It's a very pretty bike. For something that's 60 years old. |

It wouldn't be targeted at "The Faithful." They're dying off... they need to attract NEW riders, whose idea of nostalgia would be a Honda CB750K or a Kawasaki Z900. |

I have seen a big influx of hipsters and millenials buying sportsters lately here in Denver. I think it's the result of buying a CB750 or other vintage bike, getting frustrated with it, and looking for something more reliable, yet can be easily customized. HD hits the nail on the head these days, especially with this model. The faithful aren't dying off, they're evolving. As for the bike, it looks good to me. Can't wait to see one in real life. Love sportsters and their ability to maneuver the urban realm of my domain. Sucks having a big bike like a road king to run errands around town, where 75% of my driving is done. But alas, my cyclone and 1125 do an exceptional job for me on all fronts. |
