This would be nice.

From the article:
Independent and talented designer Jans Slapins from London has presented an interesting virtual project for a Tesla electric motorcycle.

That thing is even uglier than a Ronin.

Until they can make an electric motor look cool I'm afraid they are all going to be ugly.

It'll be even uglier when it get all DOTed up.

Why the "gas tank" between the seat and the bars?

I think an electric bike doesn't need to resemble an IC bike beyond having two wheels, a handle bar, and a place to sit.

If they want to reinvent the motorcycle, they should reinvent the motorcycle.

Hub motors would let you have 2WD and more room for batteries. May as well go dual steering

Why does it look like all the guys that flunked Industrial Arts get to design stuff. Ya I know....I'm ranting again, aren't I?

I would bet that Elon would never allow the Tesla badge on something so ugly.

Sifo's example looks way better and I can appreciate the beauty of just about anything on 2 wheels, including the Ronin...

"Until they can make an electric motor look cool I'm afraid they are all going to be ugly."

Brammo and Zero have been able to make some nice looking electric motorcycles.

Just so everyone knows, Tesla has nothing to do with this, it is just a computer drawing using some styling from the Tesla Model S sedan.

Understood. They should have taken design cues from the Roadster not the Model S.

My Brother-In-Law recently purchased a Model S. Nice ride, completely different than any other car I have driven.

That's what bodywork is for. Most newer MC engines are not pretty, just functional. Like it should be.

No need for disc or drum brakes. Just steering and a combo throttle/brake in the twisty grip.

Hub motors carry lots of mass, not a good choice.

And that guy must have failed out of design school because it is just plain fugly! There are better ways to design an electric motorcycle and previous posts give examples. If I was Tesla I would hit him with a cease and desist order to remove that hunk of "stuff".

I googled this Jans Slapins guy. Everything he has done looks like a cheaply made toddler toy.

He should not be doing this for a living.

Agreed. I guess my point was that throwing sheet metal over the uglyness is just as ugly! Now if it was sporting a nice abs fairing with air ducts and some nice lines then that would be more acceptable.
