The paralyzed guy is a (horrible) rapper as well and brags about selling crack.

Karma for profiting off the misery of others.

First thing in defending your family is to avoid trouble. He could have given the guys the thumbs up and backed off.
The RR should have back off right away and not pushed these punks. What did he have to gain except to prove what a rich a#### he is.
I don't want to defend these guys but why put your wife and family in the middle of your roadrage.

Mnrider: All valid points.

Pls tell me you have other solid info concerning what happened before the video
starts that supports your position.

And how do we know the RR driver didn't have somewhere important to be. These a**hole thugs planned on shutting down the whole freeway just so they could play. F*@k that if I have somewhere to be and it's not a cop blocking the road for an emergency then I'm going through till I can find an offramp to get around. }

He could have given the guys the thumbs up and backed off

??? How do you know he didn't? He was diving along on a sunday afternoon with his family... he saw the bikes ... I am guessing that he presumed they would continue ahead of him... but they didn't... they circled him and forced him to slowdown... He had no idea what to do most likely because he never been in that situation. All of a sudden 20 hooligans on motorcycles crowding around your vehicle trying to force you to slow down... maybe the driver thought they were robbers or kidnappers. But that doesn't matter...He DID stop once he clipped the hooligan in front of him but then they crowded around his truck started denting it and slashing his tires and probably trying to pull him out of the vehicle too. He feared for his life. Very simple. Tragic for the paralyzed dude.

So is this going to be a case like: A robber breaks into a home while the family is sleeping... and owners wake up and shoot the burglar after being threatened with a knife ...paralyzing him ... then the burglar sues the homeowner??

I'm eager to learn more about this. I don't see where the driver did anything wrong in the video... In Ohio, the thug would be dead. Castle Doctrine extends to your car. Put my life or my family's life in danger, it's your rear end.

While not a fan of Land Rovers due to my professional life, it did great over those bikes! I think adding motorcycles to the terrain switch is a gr8t idea!

My sociology brain is engaged by all this crap.

From what I've gathered, this "biker" gang has history with the local LEO's, confirmed punks. Hell, we've got plenty of proof of that.

Dude in the Rover did what it seemed he had to do in the moment. I've not studied the vid to the nanosecond.

Just a bunch of punks rolling with a mind to congregate, f up the commute for lots of folks, stunt, and go get F'ed up more somewhere at the clubhouse.

Wonder how many of those bikes have rebuilt titles.

A$$holes.

When these guys block the freeway, the cops should block it too, and then start arresting people and impounding plateless motorcycles.

Shares the blame HOW??

You believe he should have just sat there with his wife an two year old and WAITED for his windows to be broken and then dragged out and beaten??

(You know, like what happened to him at the end of the video)

My only problem with this is that he didn't run over MORE of these f^^^g terrorist thugs.

We have no proof that the RR driver did anything wrong...The police have come out and said that he called 911 even before the incident at the start of the video.

Unless evidence to the contrary comes out...IMO RR was a victim here and did nothing wrong.

As did over 200 others. The Range Rover driver, based on what I have personally witnessed during encounters with these guys and read/seen in the instant case, bears zero responsibility.

He will be totally exonerated. Bikers with go to jail.

These guys seek victims.

I've read on another forum that these guys have a history of targeting expensive cars, staging "accidents" and demanding money from the drivers. I am looking for the article now.

Now the wife of the paralyzed guy is filing a lawsuit against the RR driver. Priceless...

"This man with a Range Rover and luxury lifestyle — it's OK for him to do something to someone because he rides a bike or has tattoos?"

Wow, so he was run over because he has tattoos and rides a motorcycle, not that he was involved in violent road rage that left the driver with no other option.

If you look at one minute on the video,it looks like everyone is just standing there and the guy in the RR just takes off running over people.
That's why I thinks the worst of it went down.
He was in a bad place for sure.

MNrider, according to the reports I've read, while the RR is stopped, these thugs started to beat in the car, including breaking windows and slashing at least one tire.

If you really believe that he should have been giving these goons a "thumbs up", you need to make a trip into NYC and see how these goons operate! They ride bikes without licenses, stolen bikes, ATV's, dirt bikes on the roadways there. And when the cops show up to enforce the law, they run down the sidewalks, alleys, and in some cases actually have other motorists abetting these goons so the cops can't get to them. All the while the crowds gather and cheer these idiots on.

Many vids on utube to prove my point.

Reviewing your profile Mnrider, maybe the RR driver/husband/father was thinking as your Life History/Philosophy states YOU ONLY LIVE ONCE and took that literally, hence he chose to run!

I don't remember reading this but I think its worth noting. Though Mieses is a Massachusetts resident, he has never had a valid Massachusetts driver’s license for a passenger vehicle and has never applied for a motorcycle license, the Registry of Motor Vehicles said.Registry records show that Mieses applied for a learner’s permit in 1999 and 2000, but that he never obtained a full license because he failed to pay fines imposed after he was ticketed for speeding in Lawrence in 1999. His last contact with the Registry was in 2001, when he obtained an identification card, registry records show.Since 1999, he has been ticketed by police 16 times, in Lawrence, Methuen, Roxbury, Andover, and New Hampshire, according to registry records. In June, the Registry notified the National Driver Register that Mieses was a habitual traffic offender whose right to drive in Massachusetts was revoked until 2017, records show.

I've been on two large rides, somewhat similar to this one. The first probably had about 80 riders, then second was probably around 120 riders. I won't be back for a third. One thing that stuck in my mind about those rides was the reaction of cars who are suddenly surrounded by a pack of riders, many of whom simply ignore almost all traffic laws. Simply slowing down doesn't really make matters much better either, as the pack approaching from the rear has to react that much quicker. Changing lanes to get out of the way becomes virtually impossible, even with your turn signal on while dozens of bikes flow past with no break to let you in. If someone does give you a break, someone else in the pack will simply shut the door on you. And the bikes will jump back into your lane just as they clear your bumper. It's going to be a pretty tense situation for even the most calm drivers.

To even try to put this on the driver of the Rover is to say that it's OK for thugs to ignore the laws simply because they travel in a huge pack. This isn't how the laws should, or do work. It's been reported that the police have history with this group and turned them away from their planned route that day. The simple fact that there were hundreds of 911 calls about them that day demonstrates that the Rover wasn't "singled out", but was simply the one who got caught up in the machinery in the wrong way. It's kind of like blaming the rape victim because she looked attractive. That just doesn't fly.

If they do not see you -
they are aiming for you

Cars / SUVs / MiniVans / Trucks are not your friend.
Having been run off the road twice (on an ORANGE bike, IN ORANGE gear with FOUR headlights across the front of my bike ON)
I don't trust a single one of them in a cage.

I have two pockets that are full when I ride
one is a phone, the other is gun; and yes, you attempt to run me over, and squash my bike - I am claiming self defense; five times.

A%% hattery like this is exactly why I spend most of my time off pavement.
