MSNBC is already screeching about the unfairness of not enough Blacks in the jury pool because so many Blacks are felons. Sharpton is doing his dance.

Angela Correy, the State Attorney for Florida is prancing around the prosecution's press conference as if they won.

They're good at what they do.

Xdig

MSNBC is a waste of your valuable time, the commentators have been caught on more than one occasion representing falsehood as truth, look into soledad obrien, as an example
andrea mitchell refused to ask obama about an issue that later became a scandal [ IIRC ] they tend to try and please their democratic guests.

You DESERVE BETTER, start with fox and branch out from there, Fox has the highest ratings for TV news, and with good reason.

Most of the msnbc hosts of news programs have some pretty bad pwned vids on utube, same with CNN, CBS lost my viewer ship when rather faked a story and got caught.
ABC, and NBC seem to follow the spin from the current white house and admin, so they don't carry much weight.

it would open the door to 1,000's of crazies with guns who will shoot to defend themselves for whatever reason they see fit!!!! sounds like Piers Morgan , who has been on an anti gun crusade for some time, check out him and TED NUGENT informing and entertaining.

The only crazies I seem to see are the raving lefty loons that want to make us into cerfs. Most Law abiding gun owners like me have found this trial, chilling and sobering, and the thuggs don't care.

Not - so sharpeton is as transparent as this admin, easy to predict

He is a racist.

I hope that some one will publish all of martins pics and texts.

that way the world can see what kind of person he REALLY was.

Last question just now in the West/O'Mara presser, and O'Mara EXCORIATED the media, looked at all the reporters and journalists in the room - looked 'em right in their frikkin' beady eyes - and EVISCERATED them.

Bravo.

This, just after the verdict was read:

quote:

...As I have said repeatedly, this was a case that never should have been brought. It’s not too early to demand an inquiry into the prosecution of this case. Angela Corey should resign. -- Professor William A. Jacobson, Clinical Professor of Law, Cornell Law School

Indeed.

What a victory for the right to personal protection!

The race-baitors have known for a while that they have nothing to stand on here and in the end will appear to be the worthless muck-rakers they have forever been.

I, just like most of you, will be prepared for any resulting unrest.

Hell. I might go buy me a PF9 monday... I could use a cheap little crap gun to abuse a little. Call it my "Hoodied-Thug Tactical Protection System"

Angela Corey's behavior in the prosecution press conference made me want to literally puke. She is one slick Willy, strutting as if she had won the case. I wish that these Band of Creeps could be held accountable for the absolute evil that they smear with the complicity of their biased allies at NBC, MSNBC, and CNN.

Sharpton and his gang can literally burn in Hell for all eternity. And that will be all too short of the sentence that they deserve. I hate racists and deplore the divisiveness that they spew in order to enrich their pockets and political fortunes. Are you listening, President Obama?

The George Zimmerman lynching trial should never have happened. I hope justice will be served when the likes of Angela Corey and Eric Holder are held accountable for their crimes against the American People.

Corrupt judges and lawyers are almost NEVER prosecuted for their wrong doings. Common sense does not prevail. It is impossible to sue a lawyer for malpractice or breach of fiduciary duty and win. The Attorney Grievance Commission in our State is made up of lawyers and it is impossible for one liar to make a decision against another liar. The just us system is broken and it can never be fixed because the chickens are being watched by the fox and everybody know yet there is no way to fix it. Zimmerman has zero chance of ever winning a suit for damages against his persecutor and if he does it would be dismissed because he has no way of proving damages.

Victory? A man has had his personal and financial life absolutely destroyed for simply protecting his life. I see this as a travesty! It's still far from over for Zimmerman too.

More study material, from a man whose conservative views and wordsmithery I admire:

quote:

Race Hustlers and Double Standards: Zimmerman, Deen and Racism in Black and White
Mark Alexander, Patriot Post
July 11, 2013

This week, while reviewing a new comprehensive national survey of racism from Rasmussen Reports, I was struck by this finding: "Among black Americans, 31% think most blacks are racist, while 24% consider most whites racist and 15% view most Hispanics that way."

That study is an interesting backdrop for the trial by jury of former Neighborhood Watch organizer George Zimmerman, and the trial by Leftmedia of now former-Emmy Award-winning Food Network host Paula Deen. It is not my purpose to defend Zimmerman or Deen, but they are both current case studies in racist political agendas -- and these should be fully exposed.

>>> "...for simply protecting his life."

That's a bit underplaying the case.

I wonder, how would the situation have progressed if when asked by Martin, Zimmerman, instead of retorting that he had no problem, had actually explained his concerns.

Meaningful communication can help avoid misunderstanding, erroneous suspicions, Martin's that he was being stalked by some creep, and Zimmerman's that Martin was up to no good.

Sure is heartening to see the correct verdict rendered.

Right and Trayvon... should have used a more lad back tone to his statement/question to Zimmerman... instead of "u gots a prblm mfer"? Why youa all following me bitaches..." I mean... look at the way his gf spoke at the trial... doesn't mean he spoke gangsta "all the time"... probably just when he felt threatened.

I thought Zimmerman reacted to the tone of the kids voice.

Raining and dark, then a subject approaches you with that tone... you are gonna be a tad more assertive. Color doesn't make any difference.

At the moment that the trigger was pulled, I don't think that it is mischaracterizing it at all to say that he was simply protecting his life. That is the act that he was on trial for.

Point take that better communication (on both sides) would likely have lead to a better outcome. This wasn't a trial about effective communication though.

Well, he's not going to jail despite the concentrated efforts of a powerful liberally biased media AND the corrupt DOJ. Of course, the incident SHOULD have never gone to trial to begin with, none the less, justice prevailed.

That's not underplaying the case at all. What was Zimmerman charged with (i.e. "the case") and what was the State's burden in order to prove their charge?

Tragic that a young man lost his life, but Zimmerman's claims of what happened that night, particularly his claim that he was physically attacked and beaten, AND that he finally fired his weapon to, in his opinion, save his own life, i.e. self-defense, ALL of this was ultimately agreed upon by a jury of his peers.

The state charged him with M2, and said in their opening that they could PROVE their charge.

Well, they couldn't (anyone following this event from the very beginning KNEW they couldn't), and they didn't. In fact, their failure is of epic proportions. Further, their failure is likely criminal.

Not trying to be argumentative, but just curious about your "That's a bit underplaying the case" statement. Zimmerman claims he acted in self-defense, and the jurors agreed.

Not so far, but the race baiters haven't given up yet. (See news stories re. bringing him up on federal civil rights violations.) A pity there's apparently no outrage in the Hispanic community for Zimmerman's treatment.

No, they haven't, and it comes as no surprise. This, IMO, is all part of a long-term strategy by the left. The Zimmerman trial, regardless of verdict, was a win-win for the left. The State looked like fools during this trial. Consider, however, that "losing" this case might have been the real agenda.

quote:

Reid on Zimmerman: ‘This isn’t over with'
By Alexander Bolton - 07/14/13 11:15 AM ET

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) on Sunday urged the Justice Department to review federal charges against George Zimmerman who was acquitted in Sanford, Fla., of murder and manslaughter in the shooting death of teenager Trayvon Martin.

“I think the Justice Department is going to take a look at this. This isn’t over with and I think that’s good. That’s our system, it’s gotten better, not worse,” Reid said on NBC’s “Meet the Press”.

Isn't over with? The Justice Department (led by the only AG in the history of the United States to be formally held in contempt of Congress, the same AG who had to hind behind Dear Leader's skirt via Executive Privilege in the ongoing Fast & Furious scandal) might get involved?

Agree 100,000,000%. In fact, I'd bet the farm on it.

I don't like the connotation of the "simply" modifier; it sounds flippant and insensitive to the issue of using deadly force. By "case" I meant not the legal proceedings or charges, but rather the actual situation/encounter between the two men.

As George Zimmerman has learned, the use of deadly force, even in the course of 100% justified self-defense isn't a "simple" matter.

We agree on the verdict and that the case should not have been brought before the court. Prosecutorial misconduct was rampant before, during, and after the trial.
