 That was easy, most of it was trying to figure out what gun they have, and if I recognized it from any Battlefield games, they were a soldier, and if I've seen it in Counter Strike I knew it was a cop. | ||

17 out of 21 My tactics were similar to Froggy's... I ruled out the civilian guns in a hurry and any uniforms without a rank. It's a good exercise to see just how militarized our police are. | ||

Only civilian firearms I saw were pistols. I assume rifles and subguns were full auto. Many departments across the country have stuff the military does. I looked for black helmets and camo patterns and got a 17 | ||

I got 14 but I have to confess I guessed a lot of them. By the end I'd assumed that if I wasn't sure but thought it was cop it was probably soldier & vice versa. The only one I was totally certain on, has "Snatch" Landrovers painted sand in the pic & the police don't use them. I was thinking about the weapons too, but as I know so little about them, it wasn't a lot of help. | ||

I call BS on at least one tile. One of those "cops" had an M-60. Show me a police department anywhere in the U.S. that has any kind of belt fed machine gun. | ||

17/21.... the mountains fooled me on one, and I dont think I have ever seen a cop with an AT-4 on a BMP with pindle mounted Ma-deuce! (calling mulligan on that one) | ||

+1. I've seen some of the vehicles and gear that my local county police has for various things like bomb squad and riots and such, it is quite scary. | ||

Thanks, this was a great post and very revealing. I got 11 out of 21. Actually, after the first couple of photos, I was just guessing...who (besides Froggy) can tell these days in this police state that we have become? Back when I was a kid in white America during the "50's, we thought of the police as our friends and protectors...they were Officer Friendly. My, how things have changed or at least have changed for white folks! Black folks have always known how cops are and avoided them accordingly. What happened to ol' Officer Friendly...the drug war. Plus, a lot of cops learned their street-side manner in the mean streets of Iraq's cities like Fallujah as Marines. They were probably a-holes before they went in, but Iraq was their finishing school. Word to the wise: Whenever you have contact with a law enforcement officer, even if it's just a a casual meeting in a coffee shop, you should assume that you are in an unsafe situation that could turn highly volatile and ultimately lethal at the least provocation. So be careful. Cops are the judge, jury and executioner, and they enjoy rubbing everybody else's nose in their position of "authoritay". Cops are clannish, preferring to stick together, and they can't be trusted by us civilians because they are never off duty. They look at us civilians like vampires look at humans, we are nothing but prey to them. The only time that cops venture out into our world is to obtain our women for breeding purposes. Even then, civilian women need to exercise the same cautions as I listed in the "words to the wise" above, because a cop can abuse you or even kill you and he will get off. Cops cover for each other and have their own set of laws...especially while driving. I know that there are exceptions to this and some of you will tell us about the great friend or family member that you have that is a fine fellow. But I am talking about most cops, not all cops...but like this exercise points out with clearly, how can you tell who is who? | ||

I agree, that the one guy with the vehicle mounted machine gun and rocket launcher was NOT a cop, though military was definitely the answer. Also, the vehicles for the police generally don't have guns mounted on them. | ||

Well I got 17 out of 21 the M 60 and the AT 4 I didn't know the cops had. The theory I used was how much gear they were carrying the grunts usually had more the, black tactical gear normally a give away that it was a cop. | ||

Whoever made that quiz should be drawn & quartered ! Or at least beat down, as there was no option for Marine in the answer column ! As for the black gear being civilian... don't you believe it, I wouldn't be suprized if they wore t-shirts and jeans  Jimidan, you rock dood ! | ||

Jimidan you should re-evaluate where you live if that is truely how you feel about police! I am one of the Law Enforcement members here on this board and don't think you are any where near the mark! In fact you are so far off the mark it makes me chuckle! | ||

Sorry Hardcorps but I think Jimidan is dead on right. Or from what I've seen and experienced with cops. I understand you standing up for your fellow coppers but still, you can't be daft enough to think all cops are like you. |
