DD Is it true Sheep in Austraila are running with fear?

Sesame Street was apolitcal in the beginning later episodes promoted a liberal agenda. You should not allow vipers among your children.

Though I was a child star of Romper Room, I never much watched Sesame street. Might explain why I was never much of a liberal, even at a young age. I was too busy working and playing sports and being terrified of girls.

When all is said and done, the new Muppet Movie is probably one of the better ones for taking the children to.

Sure, there is subtext that is anti capitalist.... but to make a movie today, ( if you don't have the rights for a comic book.... And Marvel is smoking the "old Hollywood" with that ) the bad guys have to be either oil guys, industrial guys, or Christians. After all who else is Evil according to hollywood?

But hey! what do I know. I still think "Love Actually" is a great Christmas movie.

On a side note I'm getting rather hacked off with the hi-jacking of the word "liberal" to refer to socialists or their policies.

The word liberal comes from the same route as liberty.

Here's a couple of dictionary definitions.

Favorable to or in accord with concepts of maximum individual freedom possible, especially as guaranteed by law and secured by governmental protection of civil liberties.

Favoring or permitting freedom of action, especially with respect to matters of personal belief or expression.

As you can see they're more in keeping with republican than democrat priciples.

So please use the correct words for what you want to say, not what some media type says is the buzz word of the day.

I thank you.

I agree Innes. Blame the marxist/socialist/progressivess. Like the homosexuals who highjacked the word "gay", they employed a strategy of trying to fool folks by adopting a nice sounding name. So too the "Progressives".

On a related note, why do Lesbians get there own name but male homos don't? I guess "faggots" isn't preferred, and they never had their own island ("Lesbos"). Instead of trying to force a redefinition of the word marriage down our throats, maybe they ought to come up with a word to identify themselves first.

Just watched the Muppet movie with the kids.

I didn't get any anti-oil, anti-capitalism, anti-business feeling from the movie.

The premise of the movie was that the Muppets were going to lose their theater and needed to save it.

In order to create a villain, they needed someone who wanted a run down old theater enough to act "dastardly".

Tex Richman could just have easily have been an evil land developer or an evil logger.

Fox is way off base on this one.

Great movie BTW.

Mr Grumpy, sorry. I forgot he was a snowback.

Ft, thanks for the review. ( I figured it was much ado about little )

Blake, I don't really care what they call themselves, I always figured gay guys just meant more choices in women for me. ( put that down honey... I'm just joking... not the remote! don't throw the remote.........

Nah, we did the 2D thing.

Kids needed to see the Muppets the way I did. Although, I will have to admit, the HD viewing showed EVERY SINGLE piece of lint on every Muppet. I bet they had to lint brush those things a thousand times a day.

The HD reminded me in every scene that these are fabric puppets. I paid more attention to the seams and how their eyes were attached and how they were made than I did the character.

Sometimes HD is a bad thing.

Thanks for the info Jeremy, I agree with you entirely, the Muppets should be seen as they were originally shown.

I'll try & remember to take one of my old pairs of glasses, so I can't see too much detail.

They did everything they could to make Amy Adams look grimly so that you'd forget what a damn fine looking woman she is:

Google says the girl in the sweater is Amy Adams.

I'm sure heavily photoshopped.

Could be Isla Fisher:

Part of my three part favorites including Christina Hendricks:
