Those all get caught with the spam filter. Occasionally I get stupid chain emails from people I know, like the "Don't buy Pepsi because they took god out of the pledge" one that recently went around. Usually I just ignore them but sometimes I have to reply back and set them straight. The worst one was back when "The Passion" had come out and was HUGE. I actually pissed off the guy that sent it to him when I emailed him back showing him that the whole thing was a ridiculous lie. The story was about a young man who was beaten nearly to death and was horribly disfigured but he found God and with the help of a priest had facial reconstructive surgery, and went on to become a famous actor and director.... As if email spam and hoaxed aren't bad enough, I received one via text message yesterday. The sender got a quick one word reply, "hoax." On friday 7-30-11 in jenks oklahoma, a 14 yr old boy was shot 6 times by his step dad. The boy was protecting his 2 yr old sister, in whom the step dad was attempting to rape. The young girl was not harmed, bc of that young mans courage loyalty to his sister. The mom was at work during this time. The 14 yr old boy is now fighting for his life, in a tulsa oklahoma hospital in the icu unit, and the doctors say he will not make it unless he has this life saving surgery in which the boys mom cant afford. So all phone companies has agreed to donate 0.45 every time this msg is sent. So fwd help save hislife!.. Karma will repay u!!! Forwarding that should be sufficient grounds for losing the right to vote. | ||

I got the Nigerian scam email recently (not the first time, BTW). The really funny thing is that is was from "Robert Mueller" (director of the FBI) assuring me all was cool and I am good to go. I forwarded to a guy I know in the Bureau's cybercrime unit - hope he got a kick out of it... pretty ballsy. | ||
