the only thing I find interesting about this thread is Erik posting at 12:43am. My advise to Erik is get some sleep because there is far more important things going on with the new 1190RS being produced and the races this weekend going on at Mid Ohio that responding to a tread on BadWeb. Erik, just keep us posted as what's happening with the races this weekend and please don't worry about anything posted on this motorcycle forum. |

dannyd I really think it was bad form to bring your private business dealings with Erik Buell Racing to a public place. That shoulda stayed between you and them and instead you basically threw a fit because you didn't get the answer you wanted and you've really made yourself look bad.
So nhrs is going to change there head work? what about all those records and dyno sheets are you going to also tell people those were all done with someone else doing the heads and you can't get that work from nhrs any more or are you going to COPY the work that your porter has been doing? Either way is really bad if you ask me.
I would never do business with you after reading this thread. |

quit busting the guys balls, he has apologized already which is more, im guessing, than many of you would do. he had legitimate questions, they weren't sought after in the best way possible. on the other hand, most buellers know that people with "inside" information frequent this place, why wouldnt one exhaust this option? seems like a viable one to me. |

Jeff, there's a lot more to it than what you know, and it hasn't gone down nearly the way you perceive, but I won't divulge the details right now as it's 1:31AM ATM here as well. Dan is a very stand-up guy, save the inherent problems he has admitted to having, which we all have sometimes. Dan is a good friend of mine and a dang good mechanicand performance builder. He also is is very passionate about customer service- in some instances too passionate. Like a Latina lover, if rubbed wrong that passion turns to fury! DAMHIK!!! |

Who said Anon is Erik Buell? I thought it was Court who said Mr. Buell is a stickler when it comes to grammar. If that's the case, I don't see him as the author of that post. |

Apologies from Erik Buell Racing for the distress caused to some by recent postings. Someone was trying to clear up the many concerns being voiced in a public forum by explaining how the business works for us. It is hard not to be tempted to use a public communication place, but as usual, it did not work well.
We are sorry that we can no longer supply any OE Buell parts, but we certainly supply many race parts for Buell and will continue to expand that range. These are available from our online catalog, and through Erik Buell Racing motorcycle dealers. We would not expect dealers to stock many of these though, as there are so many options.
There are a handful of great Erik Buell Racing dealers already established who we are proud to have on board, and many more are going through the process of being set up. It is astoundingly complex with the legal steps in becoming a dealer, which vary from state to state.
For OE parts there really are lots of sources. If your local servicing Buell dealer does not stock them, there are other Buell dealers who do carry more parts, some easily found as supporters of this and other Buell websites.
In addition there are several businesses specializing in replacement and accessory parts. Since we are mostly engineers, we focused on the high engineering content performance parts, and of course on getting a new company started. We believe in the long run that is the best thing we can do for all of you based on where our talents lie.

so dannyd I have a question: how many of those 17 Bonneville records did you actually set with "your" team? did you build the bikes and motors yourself or did you just sponsor the people who did? was the go-fast know-how their's or yours? |

Come on dannyd your the one who came on here bragging about the records that "your" team set so I think it's a fair question. Who set those records anyway cause when I look at the list of names I only see two of them with the name dunn and those are really really slow. Who built the bikes and the motors and who ported the heads? if you change who does your heads how many records has the new guy set?
I think Blake is right your just a retail shop and your claiming credit for what other people have done and now your not even working with those people any more. |

Sorry but we are still working with those people so you obviously do not have a clue what you speak of. Like i said, feel free to ask folks who know me and ask them my involvement in the Bonneville team.
So by your way of thinking then Buell is just a retail shop also right? After all they do not really manufacture bikes, they merely assemble them from parts they get from outside sources.
