Mark thank you so much...and Tom...I don't know what "bump" means...sorry  Today in the Mail I received checks and cash from Diane Rowledge, Donald Tointon, Jeff Schemp and k.Hettiger....thanks everyone so much... what will happen with the checks now is I send them to the Avon Foundation..they process them and then record them in my web site, with the cash I just take the cash deposit and then put it on my debit card...so with the checks I received today...plus the couple I got from my parents, aunt and friend...I should be around... $1,200 or so...hopefully we will see that recorded soon....yeh..thank you, thank you...I couldn't have done this with all your help.  .....It was funny how scared I was about doing this...I am so glad now I did!! | ||

You guys and gals are awesome . . . the posters are off the be signed. It is so cool to see folks stepping up and making a difference. We lost Vickie's Mother to cancer and one of my best friends, and first girlfriend, had a pretty good bout with breast cancer just a couple years ago. This is one we are well on our way to dealing an ass kicking in my lifetime. It's cool to see you folks stepping up to the plate. You'll also be the first in the world to have ERIK BUELL RACING 1190RS Carbon Edition posters.  | ||

Bump means your bumping the thread back to the top so it does not go away into the archives. It could mean something else to Tom like offering too much to drink then bumping them until they fall to the ground. I have a picture somewhere. Thanks to all that donated. Lynn, Sorry I've missed this thread- been on the road a lot for work lately and have not had a chance to read Badweb much. As many of the members that have been on here for 10 or so years remember, I had a good friend from college diagnosed with brain cancer and did somewhat of an epic ride in 2004 to raise money for the American Cancer Society in his name. We lost Matt in 2005 so, I always like to support the American Cancer Society, especially when it's a person doing the event. Need to know whom to make a check out to, I've got $50 towards your goal and I've also got a momento from the Ride Across North America to send your way... God bless and Thanks!!! Alex | ||

Well good news . . . I just got a large padded shipping package plum chuck full of autographed ERIK BUELL RACING 1190RS posters . . . we'll be tied up entertaining Mrs. Geoff May on Saturday so shipping will be next week sometime. Final call for autographed posters will be about next Sunday at noon when I start printing mailing labels. | ||

Avon has'nt processed any of the checks yet...however when they do I think it is around 1,500 dollars..yeh!!...thanks for asking. ..so almost there... p.s. Lynn & Frank, I finally found something in my Buell swag collection that has been buried, literally, since the day we've moved to Virginia four years ago. It is, I believe, very rare, and I've only ever seen two of them. I owned the other one, too, and donated it to a BWB charity many, many years ago. Lynn, I've been looking for this particular item specifically for you, to help with your fund raising. I need to get some photos taken and processed, then I'll post it up on here and see if someone wants it for their collection. Note: $ talks... I just went through over 300 emails and need to download pictures and clean out the camper. Had a great time this weekend and a very interesting one to say the least. OK folks, following Court's lead, I'm offering up some of my personal Buell swag to help Lynn help raise money to help end a deadly scourge: Breast cancer. Consider this a "no reserve" seven-day BadWeatherBikers auction, and up for bids is "Buell Rules":  (Note to self: We're low on Cuervo...) I used to have two of these, given to me, as I recall, by a PacBOG sponsor back in '96 or '97. It's an Ice White Pearl '96 S2 Thunderbolt doing what it does best, and the piece is gorgeous. It's #96 (of course!) of 250, and personally signed by Erik Buell and the artist.  Are YOU Old School Buell? Then you NEED this piece! Now the bad news: I used to have two of these. The other one got donated away years ago, and was mint. This one, however, has "wrinkles" in it. You can see them in the pix, and it's how I originally received the piece. I used to be in the custom-framing business, and if this poster is "vacuum-bonded" to some high-quality backer board (archival quality, natch), most of these wrinkles should go away. Once matted and framed (PLEASE have the framer use archival techniques) and covered with museum-quality glass, most of the wrinkles should have disappeared. This poster represents a faBuellous moment in time, warm, rich, adventurous, colorful and inviting. The spirit of Buell. Overall dimensions are 16 inches x 26 inches (40.6 cm x 66 cm), and the artwork itself measures 9 inches x 20.25 inches (22.9 cm x 51.4 cm). If you want to play, this is the place. Bidding ends next Sunday night, 4/3/2011, at 11:00 p.m. Pacific time (Monday, 4/4/2011 06:00 GMT). OK Lynn, sorry to be slow to this thread. I don't do facebook, so I'll be putting a check in the mail to you first thing tomorrow. My sister had a double mastectomy, but is cancer free now. Cancer, in all its forms scares the crap out of me. My mom and I have both had melanoma and my granddad died from lung cancer when I was in high school (I don't think I would have smoked anyway, but that certainly took any temptation of smoking away from me). Hey Court, I'd love a signed poster if I'm not too late. Regardless, I'm happy to help. | ||
