Well, I can't afford one... and it's way too much bike for me...but that thing is freakin' gorgeous.

I'm proud as hell, and I didn't have a darn thing to do with it!!!

You're proud of the fact that you had enough to see that no matter the medium an artist will always get his message said.
Erik did that in spades when associated with H-D.
Now, we get to see what the artist can do when left to his own devices.
I like what I see so far.
I have no want for a superbike, but I'm still a big fan of Erik Buell.
I'm more than happy with my XB, and can wait for the E.B.R Street Fighter.
Just think of what will be once he's "established"
IMHO...

In my usual slant sideways from the thread, but still (sorta) connected...I received E-mail confirmation from RatPak Records about my crew bundle purchase.

This sent my only working brain cell in the direction of Micheal Wilton's efforts with Erik and his music.....this sent me in the direction of thinking of Queensryche...so...this leads to here.

Thanks Micheal for some AWESOME music...I share my most favorite Queensryche tune...

Crusty, I read your comment about the new 1190RS and then was reminded of Rocket which reminds me to never comment on a motorcycle that I haven't ever ridden or seen for that matter.

I remember when the Ulysses first came out and everyone was going crazy over it but personally I didn't actually care much for it's looks. Then I saw a black one in person and I finally test rode one, purchased it and now believe it was the best motorcycle ever made!!! I'm dam clad I didn't let my first impression of the Ulysses keep me from purchasing one.

I'm looking forward to the day when I can see the new 1190RS and actually ride one, then and only then I will be able to make a comment on the bike.

the neat thing is that some of us have 1125 R or CR's. plus some of us have the air cooled motor tube framers, but they are all Buells. that is kind of neat.

I wish Erik the best. I hope he can sell all he can make, and make them at a profit. You have to start small. You cannot be a Honda or a Harley Davidison from Day 1. they have been doing that for years. they started small also and grew.

We saw what happened to Excelsior and some of the other start ups, that tried to be as big as harley from the beginning. they should have started small and grew too.

We, as Buell enthusiasts can support the brand as much as we can. There are parts and clothing that Erik sells that would work on our bikes. Some can afford to buy the bikes.

Looking forward to the racing year. It won't be easy, and we need to be supporters, even if there are some valleys.

Honda started out very very small, but the conditions were much different. People needed transportation in post war Japan...and he put surplus generator engines on bicycle frames to make the very first Hondas.

Whole different set of circumstances today. I think Erik and crew are going at it the right way. At some point they will have bikes to satisfy a broad range of tastes...but today, they have to use the blitzkreig attack to show the world what they can do.....obviously there is a limited market for hyper/race bikes....and I doubt Erik wants to sit and takes orders onesy-twosey....and sip coffee as they slowly build this month's custom order...build some street bikes with the 50 hp Rotax single...bet it will sell like hotcakes in Europe and Asia...I will put one in my stable in a heartbeat.

And oh yeah....the bike needs a NAME!!! The guys at Pegasus got Typhon...come on think of something...

Maybe this American company would also be a good fit? Seems like a line of sport bikes would fit right into their current offerings.

Polaris would be a great choice...keeping it American-made would be tremendous.}
