Clicking on the thread, I was thinking about 9/11... in that case, mostly Saudi's.

Gas prices are going up...

After reading the piece, I admit that I lack the depth and perspective to really respond. Once upon a time I loved studying sociology, religion, psychology... been a while, still got my college papers and books, but I'm NOWHERE near current on such things.

The Middle East is like a religious Rubik's Cube- not necessarily the original even, but one of those 4 or 5 sided ones that have come along since the original...

Exactly what I've been preaching for years now. The nazi SS (jihadi islamism) has control; all the good peace-loving Germans (muslims) are along for the ride whether they like it or not.

Not so much these days. There is one and only one religion instigating mass murder and genocide in the world today.

So that is no puzzle, is it? It shouldn't be, should it? Then why is it? Our major news media and our government have been infested by a bunch of PC, self-loathing, punitive liberal cowards.

When exactly was Islam a religion of peace?

IIRC-

There was a treaty between the leaders of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam that stated their mutual theological disagreements, but if any one of them were attacked from outside aggressors, the other two would come to the defense of the one under attack. "The Three Tribes of Moses?"

I googled the Council of Medina and got nothing.

Many cultures like puppies but hate Okra. The menus may not show that as tourists can be picky. Not necessarily evil. Be of good cheer.

Goldberg tends to over simplify a bit. Not to mislead, but to clarify. He has a valid point here. I was listening to a Canadian muslim who has started an group to promote non violence and to get the recent immigrants to drop their medieval ways and get with the "western liberal" culture.

Islamics have a real problem. Unless you are a long time American or Canadian muslim, the world view promoted by the Saudi sponsored madras's dominates. That world view is incompatible with everyone else's, and that's the attitude pushed on everyone under pain of death and torture.

By incompatible, I mean exactly that. A neighbor who wants you to obey his whims or die is not one you want.... a better analogy, perhaps, is having a rapist who insists it's his God Given Right to violate anyone's wife or daughter. He has legal protection from rich rapists who want rape to be the law of the land. Not something a free man can live with.

But, I could be prejudiced. There is a case ( under jury selection now ) where a man beheaded his wife because she wanted a divorce. google buffalo man beheads wife for details. He was a guy who started a cable channel to promote that Islam is nonviolent.

It CAN be. But, as pushed by some groups, it is very much not. Proselytize is fine by me, ( I can tell you to &^%$ off ) forcing your faith on me is going to be ugly.

There is no such thing as a "moderate muslim".

Puppy meat is haram (non hallal). Even though tasty.

I think Okra should be a sin - it is certainly an abomination.
