Loose ends? Just walk away from them. The unresolved will pursue you and can be dealt with one at a time. The others will resolve themselves and save you having to deal with them at all. Live free...(or die in the attempt) Good luck, Chris C
When someone messed with me too much I either told em what they wanted to hear and did what I wanted, or later in life I would make them wish they had never heard of me. At my present age I'm a little more proactive. It's like that song, there must be 50 ways to leave your lover, Just slip out the back Jack, Make a new plan Stan, Just get yourself free.
4 1/2 months of saying getting out of lease is no problem if I get a lay-off... now, all of a sudden, it is a problem... grrrrrrr... might have to cancel flight to Miami to move out by Jan 1st...
Back in 1993 I had an idea. I kept one vehicle for transportation, one mattress blanket and pillow to sleep with and seven changes of clothes. I gave everything else I owned away for christmas. It took a lot of wrapping paper and visits to people I hadn't seen in years but it was worth it. I am thinning out my possessions again. Do we own the stuff or does the stuff own us?
Move all your stuff to someone's garage on christmas eve. Keep tabs on the rental so that you know when they move a new tenant in. You can not be charged for any days after that.
Leave . . don't look back and thank your lucky stars . . as you listen to Henrix in your earphones . . that the biggest thing you have to worry about is the loss of a deposit.
It's a great world out there.
Be picky who you allow to tie stuff to your ankles . . .
Best bet . . in a time like this is to set goals, expectations and standards high . . . don't let other folks dictate your battles or divert your focus.
If you are all crazy about it . . read the entire thing here:
OK Char - we're setting a party for you with a couple OTHER hard-core women long-distance types: Melanie Doerman and Danielle Hebert. Of course Sunny, Ozzie, me and a few of the other usual suspects will be there.
Just talked to tenants resource center in person... I am kindof screwed... also talked to my landlord and he said he WILL give me my security deposit minus half for January rent to the 15th... but his wife is sick now so can't really talk any more about it... his daughter said I need to pay 400 PLUS they are keeping the 800 security deposit... I gotta dig for the lease... I don't like dealing with three people for landlords... sux... I have lost my focus... can't wait to touch down in San Francisco and put all this bullsh*t behind me... ha!!!
