My phone is powered down in my pocket unless I need to call someone. My friends and family know it's easier to reach me at work (always there). I'm not going to save a life over the phone, so whatever it is, it can't be that dire. I believe it's removing peoples abilities to think for themselves or wait to have a need fulfilled. You're all going to turn into a bad version of the 'Borg', with an ever expanding (or is that shrinking)collective mentality... "should I do this?" becomes a question no one answers themselves anymore. Plan ahead, be prepared, decide, act and accept responsibility for your decisions and actions. We used to call it 'being an adult'. | ||

didnt email come about the time of cell phones...?! i text alot. first off i get unlimited texts and only 450 min with my plan. secondly when i am places i cant just be sitting on the phone chatting with people i can ask what i need when i get a second and they can respond when they get time. which also leaves me to see the answer when i have time again(as in during work hours among other times) | ||

I just find it odd that we're all carrying around these little marvels of technology and we're using them to send text messages to each other. That's like using an M-16 as a rock. | ||

Because text messages are faster, simpler, cost less, and are more reliable? I am sorry that sometimes the rock is the best option. | ||

I'm not bashing text messages. I use them too. Not while riding. But I still find it odd that that's what we're using smartphones for when they're capable of so much more. Like using an M16 as a rock. Yes, it works as a rock, but it can do so much more. | ||
