The shirts are being done right now. The ones for the folks at Mid-Ohio are leaving by the fastest horse (FedEx first thing in the morning) to Ohio. Reep is going to help with Ohio by hauling the shirts and then arranging some means to distribute them to those folks at the track. The balance should be here in NYC by Saturday . . fingers crossed . . possibly Monday. I'll have packages waiting with name labels for everyone who wanted their shirt delivered to Laguna Seca. I can't think of a better place to distribute Laguna Seca shirts than the FAMOUS LOVE SHACK. All we need is a 3C (California Cotton Coordinator) This is really pretty cool what you guys and gals have pulled off . . . It's only a matter of a few days since this idea germinated and you've pulled it off. The entire deal has been "Buell-Like" in every way and it's so cool to see the ERIK BUELL RACING TEAM getting support from enthusiastic owners. Thank you. Court | ||

I was planning on going Sunday, but can probably work something out for Friday. If I go Saturday, it would have to be without a couple of kids that wanted to go, and I don't know if they would ever forgive me... So we still have logistics to work out... I'll figure something out after the shirts actually get here | ||

I'll pay for the shirts and the shipping and send a check "From Badweb Race Supporters"to Erik Buell Racing for the balance. This has been a rather amazing effort and folks have really stepped up to the plate. Sales were a bit slow at first and then the next day I got a call from Omaha, NE . . . "this is Paypal and we've noted unusual activity in your account". . . HOLY COW. . . I looked and we were at just a touch over $5,000. One question for you guys is what to do with the remaining shirts. They are paid for so we could sell the balance at a reduced price, and since they're paid for, continue sending all the proceeds at Badweb Race Support . . or we could just send the shirts to Buell and let them sell them on the website for whatever they want. Wide open to ideas from you guys and gals. | ||

Stupid question. Now that Buell, as a company or HD subsidiary, no longer exists who is maintaining their website? I wondered about this the other day when I clicked a link from another page to visit there. Is HD maintaining it since they're still honoring warranty and still have a few bikes on even fewer floors or is there still a sliver of Buell left to maintain such things leftover? The reason I'm asking is that I'd be all for giving the shirts to Buell if proceeds went to Buell or something related and not an HD marketing scheme. What about Erik Buell Racing? They've got a few shirts on the site, would they consider taking and selling them there? | ||

Kyrocket: You are mistaking BUELL MOTORCYCLE COMPANY . . owned and operated by Harley-Davidson Motor Company . . . with ERIK BUELL RACING . . . owned and operated by ERIK BUELL. The two are totally and completely unrelated. I have no clue if the old Buell website is up and if it is I doubt it's being maintained as HD has their hands full with other things. | ||

Shirts are at my door (I am still at work) and I am trying to wrap up a few work things so I can get them to the track... If anyone is between Lebanon and Lexington Ohio and is headed to the track later this evening anyway, shoot me a PM (click my name, click "send private message"). If not no big deal... they will get there tonight one way or another. We already have two on site helpers. If you bought a shirt to be picked up at Mid Ohio, we will try and post the "on call" number for the person who has them over at the Erik Buell Racing paddock. Or just call or SMS me at (513) 696-9462 and I will tell you who to call to find out where to meet. I should be there Sunday if any havent been distributed by then. (Thats a google voice number, which will forward to my real number, so if it tells you to do anything odd like say your name, just do it... it's working correctly). | ||

There were a few Badwebbers who mentioned they'd like to contribute but couldn't right now, and probably a few who haven't heard about them yet. | ||

I don't think they should be sold at a reduced price. The people that really stepped up and bought one in support paid full price so, I think, should others. Also because, the amount wasn't about the price of the shirt, it was about the contribution to Erik. There are still quite a few Badwebbers who have contacted 'us' and asked if the shirts will be available later, as they had prior financial commitments now too. If you hang on to them and continue to sell, or give them to E B R to sell, these seem like the two good options to me. | ||

How many do you have left Court? I have not purchased one yet, but would like to. Funds are tight right now....but I want to support/help. Coming from someone who has not purchased/donated: don't sell them at a reduced price! I think that cheapens the donations so freely given by others. Either way, when I buy a shirt, you'll be getting full $$ from me BTW, what brand are the shirts? | ||

Well, my confusion came from this: From an HD/Buell dealer I clicked on the Buell icon and was led here; http://www.buell.com/en_us/ Then if you want to check out what Erik Buell is doing as a "hobby" you can go here; http://www.erikbuellracing.com/ The first looks a lot like it did pre 10/09 and all I really want, or don't want rather, is any of the Buell community's support money leaking over to HD. I understand the difference between companies. I was more concerned about who is still supporting the Buell website. | ||

as much as i enjoy getting stuff cheaper... like vamp said, others have paid full tilt. just because i made the decision that my money was needed more else where this month doesnt mean i am not willing to pick one up at the same price a little farther down the road. | ||
