Just got me a Springfield Armory XD(M)-9! I forget who around here suggested it a while back, but I finally found a good deal and picked one up.     | ||

Very different feel from Glocks I've checked out. Much shorter reach to the trigger. Similar in many ways though. I just got it right before posting it. My FFL was nice enough to deliver it to my door! I did shoot an XD-9 that shot great. The XD(M)-9 has a 'match grade' barrel, blah, blah, blah... Supposedly more precise. I doubt I would notice the advantage, but the price was right on this one, plus it has and adjustable back strap to tune the grip a bit if you feel the need. As an added bonus the case will make a great travel case for my wife's miniature notebook PC! | ||

I know I like mine, for pack and conceal I prefer the 5 sp101 but for jammin rounds down range easy killin o cream corn cans, just nothin like it that fits in a holster. (in washington, in addition to conceal you can open carry; which I do when out in the boonies, this is the choice for that) | ||

No concealed carry in the Republic of Illinois. This would be pretty big for a CCW. For the range and night stand duty I think it's ideal though. | ||

That's a gun lock. You run it up through the handle with the slide pulled back. No way to operate the gun in that condition. The make for good helmet locks too! EDIT: There's also a bore brush in that bag for cleaning. (Message edited by SIFO on February 26, 2010) | ||

BTW, I field stripped and cleaned it this afternoon and it is VERY easy to do on this gun with no tools needed. | ||

Sweet. I havnt fondled the new M models yet. Iam sure I was one of the ones telling you to get an XD though. Love mine. I especially appreciate the firing pin and chambered round indicators even though I always treat a gun like its loaded. | ||

Your gonna love the XDM, I've put around 2000 rounds through mine, it gets smoother after about 1000 rounds. I'm getting the trigger redone on mine to shorten up the reset. I was MUCH more accurate with the XDM vs a Glock. | ||

Anyone ever dealt with Buds Gun Shop? I'm looking at getting one of these for the CCW. http://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/product_info.ph p?products_id=54585 I've currently got a Sig p229 but it's too big to conceal. We also have open carry laws but I only do that when I'm killing chunks of wood out on the farm. BTW Sifo what's the dimensions on that Springfield? It's a good looking pistol. You'll like the XDM  . I've got an XD9 and have put a couple of thousand rounds through it (had to break it in you know  ) Its had exactly ZERO malfunctions. It lives under my bed in a biometric gun-vault that's bolted to the floor now. | ||

Anyone ever dealt with Buds Gun Shop? I'm looking at getting one of these for the CCW. Check out the keltec P3AT as well. Looks about the same size. Buds has a pretty good price on the SCAR but they are out of stock. Never dealt with them though. | ||
