And so the wacko militia crowd is in support.

And your point is?

My point is that it is not the wacko crowd as you put it that is turning the support toward TEA party and other groups it is ABC NEWS, my point is that regardless if he was left or right or whatever if they in the media can attach this man and the violence to militia's that are constitutionally protected, Tax reform advocates and those that feel that we are over taxed and have said so, it opens the door for those in the government that would like to get their Law Enforcement Claws into the fray.

My point is that if it is tied to these groups that are not violent but instead are advocating less taxation and a return to the basic fundamentals that built this country, something that I have read from you as well, then it can be made a federal case, IE RICO type case, like they used against the Hell's Angels, like they have tried to use against White Supremacists groups thus lumping those that would protest over taxation in with those that are blatantly criminal and hateful.

My point is that if you like it or not your rhetoric could be tied by the media directly to a guy like this. Now do you get my point?

Think the mainstream media will start clamoring for RICO action against the global warming cabal? It meets every requirement, and has lead to $billions in allocations based on fraudulent and suppressed data, threats, racketeering, etc.

I understand L.

The "support" for this wacko isn't "coming" from the Tea Party but is being "affixed" by the disingenuous media.

It's an attempt to frighten folks to back off their position lest they be considered wack job militia groups, extremist groups, terrorists.

What's interesting is the concerted effort to distance green pimps from the continued actions of ELF and other eco-terrorist groups.

What's interesting is the individual who recently set himself on fire for the sake of the poor, defenseless animals is considered "psychologically disturbed and mentally unstable" whereas Stack is considered "right minded".

I agree, ABC is attempting to chill free speech. Odd that the PRESS would be working to revoke the rights protected under the 1st Amendment of another group.

One party's protected speech is another party's "rhetoric".

I doubt it but I think it is warranted considering the evidence. This type of stuff can get out of hand very quickly and if it is "seen on TV" many think that is absolute truth.

Exactly Jeremy, so you get my point. This type of propaganda is dangerous to those that freely criticize our government. It needs to be shown that while I agree with many of the things he wrote about the IRS, his actions were and are deplorable. These fringe groups that do cling to what he did will receive the press and in turn the press will try to link them to fair tax advocacy groups.

It is a very dangerous time to be outspoken in this country I think. Things are changing so quickly it seems out of control at times.

The more pressure is placed upon the American people, the more galvanized they become.

The vast majority of the Tea Party Movement are made up of people who would never have considered themselves "political" let alone activist.

ABC/NBC can play their games, but in the end, the American people are not only not stupid but are pretty damned resolved. November is going to be quite interesting.

ABC/NBC are just going to end up losing the viewers that are active in the tea party movement. If a network was viciously bashing something I believed in, I sure wouldn't give them my business. And since the majority of members are independent of either main political party, I'd say that's probably a good percentage of their viewers. ABC/NBC make the mistake of believing that all their viewers think like they do.

The attempts to tie this guy to any 'right wing' groups, extremist or not, is tenuous at best. The only semi-solid thing they point to is support for him on Facebook. I have no doubt that a percentage of people are supporting some of Stack's ideas without really thinking through what support for him means. Facebook is full of that sort of crap.

Any real organized conservative/right wing group will have nothing to do with Stack. This is simply the media trying to create an association where one doesn't exist so that they can play guilt by association. I see they are back to playing the race card again too. Very lame considering even Stack's manifesto made no reference to race at all.

Any media pushing this BS is not dealing in truth and deserves to be ignored. Let them die from lack of readers/viewership. This is a very dark period in the history of our great country. I have concern over what will lead us out of this period.

hang onto your hats .... the Pentagon wants to put the state national guard directly under their chain of command during 'times of emergency'.... couple that with the recruits being trained to 'Miranda' detainees....

Never was fond of surrendering States rights to National Union responsibility, chain of command, fiscal control.

You can thank Clinton for that.

Part of his "rightsizing" of the military, and the resulting "peace dividend" was that the active forces would be cut in half, and the National Guard and Reserves would be relied upon in time of war or national emergency.

So now our reserves are fighting in Iraq and Afganistan, and the left screams that we're overextended as evidenced by us resorting to calling up the reserves. Short attention span I guess.

They made it sound as if Facebook had a huge applause for Stack. From what I just pulled up I only see 4 Fan pages with about 2500 people and about 30 Fan pages calling him something else or a moron and take down the Joe page.

They are just trying to make a mountain out of a mole hill. I stopped watching TV news when I had to watch it for more than 4 hours to get a strait story. Radio is getting just as bad. Let’s streeeeeetttttttcccccccchhhhhhh the story out so we won’t loose in the ratings game.

Bernard Goldberg made an interesting point about the Liberal Media's attempt to equate the Tea Party with the Austin Kamikaze Pilot. Goldberg contends that Buck's views were more aligned with the Left.

quote:

And the other thing that the few media that picked up on this theme left out is what about all the things that this kamikazi pilot believed that are opposite of what the Tea Party believes? He’s anti-capitalism – they’re not. He’s anti-organized religion – they’re not. And on health care, he says insurance companies are corrupt and are responsible for the deaths of thousands of Americans. That’s left-wing rhetoric. Why didn’t they connect the dots between left-wing rhetoric and the kamikazi pilot?

You've got to be an idiot to read Stack's manifesto and connect it to right wingers. That or you have to take your audience to be idiots. Then people wonder why Fox News is about the only vendor of news that isn't in decline.

Fox has more viewers at 3AM than other news networks do at 8PM.

By the way, if you're not watching "Red Eye" (3AM on Fox news) you're probably a racist homophobe who eats kittens and wants the planet to die.
