When I worked for the Legal Division at Coca-Cola, I was exposed to Lexis Nexis for the first time. I thought it must be some sort of software for the Dr. Seuss legal team that was sorta my fault. No kidding! I was told it must have been a glitch...

Production Control Specialist/Materials Forecaster for a Midwest steel company. I have seen four previous posts where I supplied steel for the pictured products and 1 which thanks to a company expansion I am in direct competition with. Interesting the connections we can all make with each other. |

As of last year: M/C sales specializing in Buells and metric trades, then back to restaurant serving, then to "key hourly"- code for "Manager/Head Peon", back to serving. Also, freelance writer for a local motorcycle magazine, "Handlebars". Currently looking for greener grass and better, more respectable management to work with. Per my 2010 resolution "to get ahead, not just get by"... |

After 30 years as a police officer (Ontario Provincial Police) - 25 on the street and the last 5 in a cushy straight days desk job - I retired at 51 years of age... only to come back to the same unit I left but as a civilian this time. I'm in the Weapons Services Section. We service all the firearms for our 6,500 member force and we destroy all confiscated and surrendered public guns too. I love it! I have also been running my small-on-purpose residential alarm security company for the last 15 years. |

USAF, 21 years this June. Currently I'm the base Career Advisor but I've worked on F111s, telescopes, tactical weather equipment, microwave relay radios (predecessor to the internet) and satellite communications. I've had a good ride but I think I can see the end of the road.... |

Owning a truck and equipment body shop has it's fun with toys moments too.
The toys they let me play with are bent and broken when they come in, and new looking and rent-able when they go out.
It seems like no body likes to go 'up there' to prep and paint. Boom extensions come out another three feet when going straight up. Kinda fun when the floor of the basket you are in is at 45 feet with the wind and your body movement make them bounce around out of sync. |
