Just barely fell into left leaning Freedom Lover. About a pixel lower than Radical Libertarian and just a hair left of center... Weird... Always figured myself for a right leaner, but I do dress left so maybe that's why? |

I right clicked on the image and did a "save image". Had to add the ".jpg" to the file name by hand. It's an interesting quiz. After the first take, I ran a few test cases to get an idea how it worked. It actually flashes a screen with what appear to be the analytics of the results, but it goes by so quickly I couldn't read it. The importance grades that you assign each of the eleven issues in the last part of the quiz are used to factor that particular answers weight on the results as a whole. I just retook and moved a couple of my answers to the next slot down where I was really on the fence between the two. More what I expected...
You desire substantially less government control of economic activity and somewhat less government control over personal activity than is presently the case in the U.S. I used to classify this area as part of “Moderate Libertarian” but got many objections; I guess calling you a moderate libertarian is akin to calling a liberal Democrat a “Moderate Communist.” Your views would be best represented by a mix of Libertarian and Republican representatives—assuming that it was possible to get a significant number of Libertarians elected. The Libertarian Party is still dominated by people far more radical than you though there is an ongoing effort to make the LP more inclusive and less radical. If you have the patience and willingness do deal with infighting, you may want to join this effort. Or, you might find my proposed new party more to your liking. Approximately 8% of the takers of this quiz scored in this area.
Cool, managed to snag the results analysis page by hitting the "Print Screen" button immediately as it flashed onto the screen, then pasting it into MS Paint and cropping and saving as a gif.
It is odd that there are no questions dealing with God/religion or abortion. Take the quiz Reg!
Jeremy Jason, Why not take the quiz and share the results. It's just for fun. I'm a little boggled that I indicated that I'd like to see a 30-40% cut in government spending yet I somehow am classified as wanting about the same amount of Government; I guess based on my answers to the rest of the questions. Found some poll results that are interesting.
11. Which word would you use in describing your political position to a friend: left, right, liberal, conservative, centrist, libertarian, or authoritarian? 05% Left 09% Right 26% Liberal 39% Conservative 09% Centrist 02% Libertarian 00% Authoritarian 05% None of these terms 04% Not sure from http://www.theadvocates.org/library/poll-results.h tml So 31% view themselves as "Left" or "Liberal", while 48% see themselves as "Right" or "Conservative". If I had to choose, I guess I'd choose "Libertarian", but I'm a conservative Libertarian. LOL. |

I'm pretty sure it was my distain for the "war on drugs" that swung me to the left in this survey. I'm tired of spending money on a 30 year old war that we have no chance of winning. Legalize it, regulate it, tax it. I'm tired of spending money to keep low level non violent drug offenders in jail on mandatory sentences and letting the rapists out when the prisons fill up because they're not on mandatory sentences. The entire mess defies logic. |

Blake i find it very interesting that you and I are both small government centrists. The only difference is which way we lean. |

This appears to be a version of the "world's smallest political quiz", which I used to carry in my pocket when I was a big-L Libertarian. |

with caveats. I think there should be a forced draft for all incarcerated prisoners, similar to the french foriegn legion. Drugs, do what you want, how ever much you want, on a deserted island, at a fee, and you can only come back to US soil after 6 months clean and sober. OD, oh well. Social security, I aint gonna see it, I should not have to contribute. Education, bill me for the portion I used, and opt out of taxes for the rest, cuz I aint having rug rodents. Deviant sex behavior between man and wife? Aint getting married so I guess everything I do is 'deviant' Censureship? There is a firm wide swath of stuff that for operational security, the general populace has no business knowing. And if I have to pay taxes, I should be able to designate which programs that money goes to, and have the ability to deny funds to programs I dont agree with. (dont even get me started on the NEA) (Message edited by cityxslicker on December 10, 2009) something is new, that image wont load either way for me, must be a case of PEBKAC. Any way it ends up being Liberterian with a dot in the 1 oclock zone. (Message edited by cityxslicker on December 10, 2009) Got your back, mudslinger (Message edited by froggy on December 10, 2009) |

On the request of Blake, I took the Quiz.. This is it though. I am going to do my best to stay away from the political threads on BadWeb. I think the saying goes, "The only ones who win some games are those who choose not to play". I must say, in regards to the quiz, I would have liked the option to choose- none of the above, in many of the questions. I also felt many of the questions where loaded to steer a desired answer. There were also many important issues left not addressed. I feel the results of the quiz are interesting but not on target with my own personal beliefs...Happy Holidays!
