I've seen another pic here. I think it was from the employees Facebook page maybe? Also heard that the bike wasn't for sale, but not sure?? |

When did they get pointy turn signals...? And is that the Euro header? Top bend looks a little curvier. I see it has a front O2 bung as well. ~SM (Message edited by Swordsman on November 16, 2009) |

2010 they got the pointy signals. On his Facebook page Erik said he was going to be keeping it. I know I would if I where him and could keep it. |

If these were the same bikes they were building at the Last Ride, yes, they're headed for Euro, but I believe somebody here said the last batch were headed for Nippon. |

"That bike in that pick is not a Euro spec bike." And the bikes they were working on when we made the Last Ride were City 12X's. (Message edited by Buellinachinashop on November 16, 2009) |

But they weren't Euro is what I'm saying. They had roughly a 100 to make from the time we were there till the end of the week. |

Then the Buell employees were wrong by telling us the bikes they were building, the City12X's, were headed for Europe. The bike above is a 12Scg. |

Here ya go John taken from that day. These were taken at total opposite ends of the line. These do not have Euro headers on them.

Sure as hell looks like a Euro header to me in the pic. US headers come out of the front port, head across the front of the bike to where they turn towards the back of the bike, and go horizontal towards the back until they turn down towards the collector. The header in the above 2 pics doesn't go back, it goes back and *up* along the line of the rockerbox gasket. Looks Euro to me. The pic at the top of the thread of the last bike has a US header on it. |

Why did the Europeans get a different header configuration ?? |

Look at the first pic in this thread. Then look at the top pic in the pair of "partial bike" pics. Focus on the front O2 sensor. I *dare* you to tell me they're the same. The top pic, the header goes horizontal from the O2 to the downturn towards the collector. The pair of partial bikes, the header goes UP and back, before it turns towards the collector. |

sweet, so when i say they were japanese spec that throws a whole kink into the argument! they had that extra long exhaust tip on it that runs down the side of the swingarm. i even pointed that out during our "tour" when someone asked where they were going. the employee assembling it there confirmed it was the japanese setup... |

Rice Did you look at the completed bikes at the end??? They did not have the Japanese muffler in place. What must of been happening is the last run of the bikes must have been for all markets. I did see some of the Japanese mufflers though as we walked through not on bike yet. |

no i honestly didnt pay that much attention to those bikes. i was preoccupied talking to the employees and giving people who's first & last time to the factory (like my friend jason) a little better run down on what was going on and some of the cool stuff they should really be paying attention to. that was the only bike i noticed that way, but like i said i really wasnt paying that much attention to them in particular. |
