so I don't end up making enemies and getting further pissed off ... I had a great time seeing the elves and friends I've made this past 4-5 years... and I look forward to seeing you all at Homecoming 2010. But I've noticed that apparently my integrity/honesty has come into question during a couple recent discussions, and I WILL NOT tolerate or stand for ANYONE questioning my integrity/honesty/motives ... Those who I have opened my garage to - bent over backwards for in the past, know me... But apparently there was something amiss with my being part of, or the way the planning for Monday went. I am not going to call anyone out, but you know who you are. My intention of this post is to just explain why I will go back to not posting much, and also one of the reasons I am backing out of any Homecoming planning, wouldn't want someone to think I was acting shady. In regards to the surplus money from Monday. It will be given to Steve Mackay to deal with. Everyone trusts him. (Even though he and I were in touch every 20 minutes it seemed during the planning for Monday's event.) I look forward to seeing my friends in June ... I have no doubt it will be a great Homecoming. |

I'm not really sure who or what your talking about, but i dont think you need to give up! You have done a great job in the last few weeks with the Last Ride and i think you would be an asset in helping with the 2010 Homecoming... Don't give up b/c of some internet mouths who like to sit back and cause trouble make you stop!! |

I thought you did a fabulous job on short notice. I've been coming here less and reading only a couple selected areas so I obviously missed something. Sorry to see you go, I was impressed with the job you guys did. Court |

Brian, please don't let the actions of a few push you away. You and Steve did a fantastic job last week. I, for one, am extremely pleased we actually raised more than what was needed to pay for the food (I even pulled you aside at the factory to ask if you needed more cash...and you said no...hmm). You are an asset, and your passion and involvement for the brand should not have come into question, shame on those that did. |

Tattoodnscrewd, I will not try to tell you to stay because I understand exactly where you are coming from. I have not seen the threads you are talking about and do not care to read garbage so I will not look. I have gotten attacked before and that is why I only read a few threads. The 1125/Uly board is a mess and is to be expected with the influx of new riders. I have to believe it will get better but I am not hopeful. I often wonder if the Custodians can keep up with each section. It is a lot of crap to look at for just a handful of people. You did a great job, although I could not be there I have heard nothing but superlatives from the people that attended. I got to tell you, I know for a fact how hard it is putting on an event. I did one for only 15 bikes and had the help of one of the best organizers in the business. If it was not for Rex I would have been flopping around like a fish out of water. A break from the BadWeb is not a bad thing. Emotions are high and tempers are short. You will be missed and welcomed back when you decided to come back. I look forward to meeting you at Homecoming. Really sorry to hear that. I had no problem sending my little contribution or what might happen to any surplus. From my perspective, it all looked like it went superbly. Sir, I THANK YOU for what you did. Zack |

I couldn't make it so PayPal'd you the $$$. It was money well spent. I have to assume that it was on the board somewhere that somebody was sniveling and that is too bad (but not unexpected - there are always a few that will ruin it for the many). I can understand your aggravation but I MUST say thank you for supporting the whole lunch-for-the-Elves and all the planning that went along with it! |

Brian, the way I look at it is if someone who didn't have a problem sending you money initially and now does....who's problem is it really? I (and I believe many others as well) think you did a stand-up job with everything on Monday. No one to my knowledge stepped up to do anything different, or challenge you as they have with the homecoming deal thus far! All in all I can understand the disgust with people. It is better to ignore situations like this than argue like a child. The internet is full of tough guys...most of which wouldn't challenge you in person. |

Brian, Thank you for the opportunity to contribute to an event that I couldn't attend. It's easy for me to say ignore the drama, but I haven't seen the negative comments. I'm sure the comments are from a very few...I'm sure many many more appreciate the hard you did... Again, thank you... |

Brian; I don't know who is making stupid accusations like that, but you did a great job handling things. I never questioned for a moment that you did anything improper. In fact, I know that you went above and beyond on your own time. You made the lunch part work DESPITE THE FACT THAT NOT EVERYONE PAID THEIR FAIR SHARE. About 50 people came that couldn't man up and kick in even $5 to help with the food. That still irks me to no end. You were open and honest about the fact that there was money left over. You could have easily said that you spent it all on the food and left it at that. You didn't. You were honest about the fact that there was money left over from the very beginning. Let the knuckleheads making claims read this and know the truth. |

I have no problem with the money one way or the other. I kicked in a little extra as did many others as it's normal to have more folks showing up than have paid and I feel really fortunate to still be working at a good job that pays well. Just glad that everyone was able to show up and support the people at the Buell factory. The fact that there were some funds left over is just a bonus for the next get-together. No reason for folks to get concerned about it. I doubt that anyone is running out and buying a new motorcycle with the left over funds...... |

So apparently I have stirred the pot enough to have Brian decide to hide out for a bit. My questions were not about how things were planned for this past Monday, but more about why anyone should be sitting on a surplus. Now that Steve will be getting the funds, maybe he can be persuaded to pass the money on the Elves now since they will be at the factory until mid December doing a plant shutdown. If anyone needs to talk with me about this, please PM me, I am reachable and more than willing to share views. |

Hey, you did a great job. I didn't grab any food but I bought a decal. Some folks think that every time they donate a buck they need a two dollar report on what happened to the money. Don't let them get you down, you did GREAT! |

Hahahaha . . . . somewhere in Indiana there's a guy with all the remaining TEAM ELVES funds floating around. It's been years. It's no problem. He's perfectly trustworthy. I chipped in to this deal and I, since I never stop talking, never took a bite. I've glad to have been there and thrilled with the job you guys did pulling it off. I trust you as well. Do what you think is the proper thing and if someone else doesn't like it . . let them volunteer to take responsibility next time. Thank you. Court |

Well since it's out who the pot-stirrer is, I will respond ... First off - thanks for the comments, they are appreciated. In regards to Monday's event... we had no idea there would be a surplus. And it was NOT just MY decision to roll the surplus into Homecoming. We felt instead of trying to decide who to refund what and to whom, we chose this route because it was fair, and would have been a small token to the people that did step up and make this event happen (meaning all of you that contributed) Giving the money to the elves is not a bad idea if there were enough to do anything meaningful with it. The elves are not going to be financially in need until close to March - so giving them each 5 bucks isn't going to accomplish much, forgive my cynicism but it seemed pointless at the time. Several seemed to have no problem with the funds being rolled into Homecoming (which Todd, would be for the elves as they will actually be able to attend this one) Nobody was sitting on funds, for the record, Steve and I paid a bit out of pocket for the event, and everyone that uses Paypal knows - you have to wait to pull the money, Mark from Roma's agreed to wait until the cash was pulled to be paid as his was the largest chunk owed (which I will be doing today since I have not had time to get back out to East Troy). Also - I asked Steve again (not just MY decision) about possibly throwing the money into an interest bearing account for 6 months to earn a little extra on it- again - for Homecoming) And yes - I was more than irked by a couple of your comments Todd. You obviously don't know me, you've been part of this 'family' for about a year - during which time I was on the sidelines due to life - in fact - it was my second daughter that was born last year, complications and all that pulled me away from my involvement, many of my friends here new that. What you may have missed is the 3 years before and how many times I went out of my way to help anybody out when they asked, opened my house and garage .. more than a fair share of Buellers from out of state have repaired their bikes at my place, with me not expecting anything in return. Believe me, a pissing contest is not what I want but trust me- I've been around this family a bit longer than you have and nobody until now has doubted my being trustworthy - sorry I wasn't able to welcome you to the group or put on any garage days much since you came around last year ... but life happens. What I have a problem with is having my integrity questioned by someone who doesn't know me, and that you have done with the comments you have made. And to make the comments you did, questioning the planning for Homecoming and making sure that whoever is involved is honest and does what they state - I see that at a shot at me. Again, the funds collected were used for what we said they would be. There was no idea, or perception sold as you put it in another thread - so YES I take your comments personally - where else would they be directed, but it appears only you seem to have a problem with the surplus being rolled into Homecoming - hell , Court thought it was a good idea, as do many others - it's keeping the money Buell and Homecoming would be for the elves as well- it only helps to make it a better event .. and as far as your latest posts - the intent of the donation was to provide lunch for the elves, we had no secondary plan in regards to any surplus - we didn't know there would be one, we did this in 5 days - cut us some slack. For the record, it was a phone call from Steve Mackay that I had the privilege to be in the position I was for this event - and I had approval from him on my every move. I wonder, if Steve Mackay, Court or any of the other names that have been more visible since you have been here had held my part in this and they said they were rolling surplus into Homecoming, would you have a problem with it ? Brian I seen people give 20... I gave 10. I don't care where the rest went or goes. I had a good time and enjoy seeing old friends. As far as I'm concerned go buy Tim a new tire with it. I enjoyed seeing Erik smile at the expense of it. You guys did good. Just glad I had the time to go. |

In regards to the last part, yes, I would have had a problem with the surplus rolling into the Homecoming because there is no reason for it. Buy another lunch or munchies for the factory people or possibly throw it into the Christmas fund that has been mentioned elsewhere here on BadWeb. As for only me having problems with this, I have a feeling I'm the only one talking about it. It has been brought up to me from outside of this venue. So, being the Bitch that I am, I asked here about it. Nothing better than a public forum to work things out. And as for Court's answer about volunteering up for next time, no problem, I'm there, just like I was this year when called upon or needed. |

You are crying about nothing. Let it go. I knew some joker would complain about this. Did you have a good time??? If the money goes toward Homecoming and you come... it insures to help you have a good time then also. What do we owe you Todd?? I'll pay you out of my own pocket. Damn it. |

Sorry if everyone feels this was a shot at Brian's integrity, it wasn't. It wouldn't have mattered who was on the other end, I would have questioned it. So, please Brian, take this apology in good faith, I will do shots with you the next time we cross paths and aren't on the bikes. =) Also, thanks for the refund, but it was not necessary. Later.... |

I've never once had a problem with Brian's intentions. Now keep in mind, we had no idea that there was GOING to be any excess. In fact, when I went to pick up the beverages, we didn't have enough money to pay me back. We thought we would have to pay a pretty large portion of this out of OUR pockets. Which neither of us can really afford at this time. Which is why Brian is most likely upset. We stepped up to the plate, and now being questioned about it would piss me off as well. At this point, we are going to give refunds to those that want them until Monday morning. Which at that time, the remaining funds are going to be put in to a 6 month CD, so we can earn interest on the funds at hand. Just talking with Brian, I think we're going to roll this excess in to Homecoming Banquet at Romas or a pig roast at Hals. *ALL* of the elves will be invited as well. Our intentions are to have the elves join us. And the Elves eat for free. Between Brian's and my contacts at Buell, we will spread the word about the event, and our intentions. If someone has a problem with this, or have other ideas, we can give you a full refund. |

Yup, same here, big thanks for your efforts Brian, what a project! I'm just thrilled that all I had to do was show up. Six month CD sounds great as well, more money for future events, whether I am able to make it or not doesn't matter to me. It's been good to see your name on here Brian, do what you've got to do. |
