Somebody here at work brought in a bottle of Mad Dog 357 sauce, which has a heat rating of 750,000 Scovil. It is, without a doubt, the hottest sauce I've ever tasted. I grew up eating hot peppers, and have always enjoyed hot sauces, but even though this sauce has a really good flavor, it's torture to try even one drop. Anyway, I don't recall ever seeing a Hot Sauce thread on Badweb, so I figure I'd ask what kind of hot sauces do Buell owners like? |

Good thread! I'm a hot sauce junkie, one entire door shelf in the fridge is filled with them. Generally speaking, I love Tabasco's Habanero version. I've always loved the taste of Tabasco, but the regular stuff aint hot enuf. The Habanero version has the taste AND the heat! Check out The Sauce Boss- he's got a great website, great products- got a bottle of "Liquid Summer" in the fridge, used some on a burrito last nite. 2 current faves: Blount County Roadkill Hot Sauce- I always read the ingredients on the label, this one uses pineapple pulp as a base, GREAT flavor and plenty hawttt... on my 2nd bottle, almost ready for #3. Trivia fact: In the state of Tennessee it is legal to use roadkill for one's personal consumption- Venison stew, anyone? Also, "Al Gore's I Invented Hot Sauce" Hot Sauce. Yes, such a product does exist, the label is LOL funny, the sauce itself is extra hot and tasty too. (No political inferences intended...) Keep it going, youn's... |

I lean more toward the sugar based sauces. Molasses, cane sugar, fruit, brown sugar, etc. I don't really like vinegar that much, I think it overpowers the subtle flavors of some peppers. My son brought some pineapple based sauces from Hawaii that are really great. This is a great hot sauce site too. http://www.mohotta.com/ Brad |

Buffalo brand Chipotle sauce. Smokey, hot, full of flavor. The real Mexican deal. You can also make your own with canned Chipotle en adobo as the base. Available in the specialty foods section of most supermarkets. |

Predator Great White Shark Hot Sauce is the hottest hot sauce i have ever tasted. I am always a sucker for some one daring me to eat something hot (I think it is because of my Cajun heritage) and when i ate that stuff it actually hurt it was so hot. |

Tapatio for general use--it's cheap, not too vinegarish, and has a nice mellow spiciness. Sriracha--like Tapatio, it isn't too hot, plus it has a great garlic flavor. I use this stuff on everything. Blair's After Death and/or Dave's Insanity Sauce--good for when you're making an enormous pot of stew or chili that you'd rather have all to yourself. Very small amounts render big vats of food inedible to the spice-averse. Basically, any colorful bottle that lists habanero puree as the primary ingredient works for me. |

Dont mean to hijack, but what do they put jalapenos in? I'm talking about the liquid that they come in when I buy a jar of them. I have a bunch of fresh jalapenos to jar in the next couple days. |

John, I grow a red Savina. It is the second hottest pepper in the world. I use about a 1/4 of one to 3 quarts of salsa I make just for some heat. I use other peppers as well. |

Tough pepper to. My garden has all but died off with the cold and all. But.... my savina plant is in a pot in my driveway. It has roughly 40 peppers on it. I'll bring it in the house and it'l survive till say december.lol |

I like Louisiana cayenne pepper sauce better than Franks. Tabasco Habenero tastes a lot like Dave's, in my opinion, but it's really hot without being insane hot. Another sauce I use a lot of that I find few people have tried is Tiger Sauce. It's a sweet hot sauce that I mostly use on white meat. It's also really good in beans or black eyed peas. Fort Worth's own Renfro Foods has an excellent Habenero Salsa that I always keep on hand. Not too thick with lots of tomato, onion, garlic, jalapeno and yes - habenero peppers. It's too hot to dip on its own without mixing it with some of my wife's homemade salsa. |

I grow my tomatoes and peppers like Bads1 does. I grow Anaheim, Jalapeno, and Serrano plus red and yellow Bell peppers. The Anaheim and bells are eaten fresh off of the vine in salads, pizza, stews, stuffed, sliced for dipping, etc. The others are stuffed and barbecued or chopped for salsa and salads; dehydrated and vacuum packed, or ground in a blender for dusting foods, or pickled. husky |

I like a Carrot based Habenero sauce. +1 on the Mango Habanero sauce at Buffalo Wild Wings. Great flavor but could stand to be a little hotter. |
