I remember as a kid at a Kansas City A's (pre-Royals) baseball game they demoed a Jet-Pack. This guy walked out onto the field with this big pack on his back that had a couple of white tanks and nozzles protruding down. There were handles wrapping around front that he held on to. He ignited it, rose about 20 feet off the ground then flew around the stadium. It was really cool and at the time and they were saying that everyone would have one someday. I was too young to remember what the propellant was but it sure was cool to watch. |

Man I gotta get me one of those! For that matter, I want to mount one on my Lightning. It'd probably be a pretty cool ride to go from a rolling start wheelie to a 300 KPH vertical climb. What would be cooler than that?! |

He probably could have gone faster if not for the aerodynamic penalty he was paying for having such huge balls. |

Sure, although spin is probably not a good word to associate with aircraft. |

Spin is an excellent word to associate with aircraft. Have you not been to an air show? I sure Dave would associate spin with wheelie or burn out! (Message edited by dragon_slayer on December 30, 2006) |
