I thought it was a good show -- the lack of a couple of manufacuterer's was disappoint, but there was also less, er, ehm, low end vendors with cheak patches/sunglasses/pins (one or two of these is too much for me)

lots of gear, in a wide range of sizes (this was on Friday Night, so it could be the Rocket's disappointment re: sizes was temporily caused) -- picked up some great deal on the gear --

Got Peter Egan to sign one of his new books -- he thought I was HIM! One of us has shaved though ;-}

Also, I saw something that gave me an idea -- the Ducati Monster Challenge was, IMO, a little lacking in creativity and crafsmanship -- not slagging any of the ower/riders (I did see some interesting details on a couple of the sleds) -- I remember thinking, "hey, so and so's X1 is way cooler than this -- that other guy's S2 is a lot better lookin that this Duke . . . . . " so, free of charge, Buell, why not organize something similar to the Ducati Challenge for Buellers next series of shows -- good publicity for the brand, gets the folks thinking and participating, with, I would guess, minimal effort on the factory's part . . . .

this year sealed it, though -- it's Firday nights for me from now on -- way less crowded

btw -- the excitment evidenced by the Buell Factory folks at the booth over th upcoming Daytona effort was great to see -- it's a gas to see people that love their jobs talking about it!

Not being in the market to try to decide on / buy a bike, it was kinda anti-climatic for me this year... But I got some really great pics of the boys on the lean display. That was just about worth the price of admission in itself.

Mostly it just reminded me of how cold it still is and is going to be for some weeks to come... : (

Hey I'm up for a Buell challenge Bomber. My thoughts mimicked yours as I walked through to see those bikes.
