Hi All,
It's not a Buell but my Uncle just gave me his 1960 something Harley Davidson/Aeromichi 125. It has been garaged since he set the class World Record on it at Boneeville Salt Flats in 1970. It has about an inch of dust on it but was running when he parked it. Any ideas what a bike such as this might be worth? or for that matter where I can find any more information about this single cyclinder sweety?

Based on their production 125 two stroke, the racing 125 that Aermacchi built for Harley in 1970 had about 23 horse power @9200 rpm, piston ports, air cooled, and weighed in at less than 180 lb. It had a five speed transmission.

Not exactly the apple of every motorcycle collector's eye, this little sweetheart has some historical significance and a real history.

You ought restore it and keep it.
At 180 pounds, it should be easy to keep on display in your living room:-)

Thanks! My uncles bike is likely a 69 and it has Harley logos. And yes methinks restore and ride is the best option (:

The "CRTT" was amongst the best looking Aermacchi machines, particularly the 250cc version with the horizontal cylinder.I hope yours is on of these CRTT models. The Aermacchi was the featured marque at a show in Massachusetts this past summer and after reviewing some photos i found THEE specialist for Aermacchi,http://home.tiscali.nl/~jahstof/sonny/sonny.htm

Wow, that looks 10X better than those "HD" dirt bikes made later, at least the ones that I worked on.
I'd keep it in my living room, if I wasn't married. As stated above, that bike is all business.

Gee, I wish I still had my 67 Sprint SS. My grandfather gave it to me when I was 14. It ran but was in rough shape. I rode it in the woods and around the yard. It was really hard getting parts or information on it since there wasn't any internet in the late 80s. Nice site Ducxl.

wow guys thanks for the info/websites and pics. I am so looking forward to rolling that down to the "Rock Store". It should turn a few heads... I don't think it should be to hard to get it running again. Now for the big question. Does Pirelli make a track day tire for it? (LOL)

Choptop lol. I think that the 90mph that my uncle squeezed out of it might be about it. I found a users group on yahoo and they have been quite helpful. I think this bike will be best left alone and not restored. A couple of folks think it is quite valuable but I am still seeking confirmation.

Sky -- if what you're after is an insurance value, there's a guy that advertses in the AMA rag that'll give ya quotes on collectable scoots --

I think you've got the right idea -- keep the old nail -- it's a family heirloom, like grandaddy's watch

or, go racin with Chop!
