I'm running the NGKs now the box says DCPR7EIX 6046. I got mine at advance autoparts.

Wrong - Denso IXU27 - The racing version is even better - and the 27 cross references back to the DCPR9 which directly cross references back to the 10R12.

How does one gap an iridium plug? I have a disc feeler, but I feel like jamming on that little pin electrode on my NGK's will snap it off.

They come preset - you can check gap, however if the gap isn't their recommended setting, your to send it back and they will replace it - gap is a warranted part of the plug.
