Hi Dave, Glad to hear the damage wasn't worse as often it is. It never seems to amaze me the stupidity of city drivers, they seem oblivious in every city I've ridden in. I doubt they realize that a minor bump can maim riders for life in the blink of an eye. Whether it was road rage, drugs or alcohol on his part, whatever, I doubt I would have had the restraint to keep from dumping a pair of 230 grain hollow points into his chest removing him from the gene pool thus keeping him from causing further problems on the road. A call to the fuzz to report a hit and run will do wonders for his driving record/insurance. Not as much fun as a little pest control but just as effective. |

Let me re-iterate since some people don't read ALL posts and attack based on 'out of context' info.
My comment about not drinking at the Tex was a general statement cuz if any of us find ourselves in the position you found yourself in last night having alcohol on our breath would not be a good thing.
Michael- I think we all know Dave is a seasoned rider No one said anything to the contrary especially me. That's why I wonder why you feel it necessary to point out every time I've dropped my bike or a bike in your little example-

I apologize I NEVER ment for my post to come across that I thought you were at fault in ANY WAY!!! or that you were drinking
The whole incident made me think that it could happen to any of us. It would suck if it did & the guy on the bike got the shaft cuz the cops smelled alcohol even though it wasn't his fault. I should have separated my posts but I thought my post after it would accomplish the same thing.

Geesh, who needs the grief of killing somebody, even if they do deserve it.
Glad you went home Glitch. Cars versus bikes are a fools fight. Whenever I have somebody messing with me on the bike, I do whatever is necessary to put as much distance between them and me as quick as I can. I could care less who 'had the right of way'.
That all being said, I won't complain when people that purposly screw with people on motorcycles spend some amount of time *very* afraid. |

Steve/Hulley told me what happened while we were at work... That infuriates the hell outta me! I am very glad to hear you are ok. Have you filed a report? If you can remember anything about his vehicle, it may surface at a body shop.
POS SOBs like that deserve prison time at the very very least. Victim of road rage puts it mildly... you were a victim of a violent felony.
I hope that, with any luck the bastard gets whats coming to him. |
