Be on the lookout for a missing rider (copied from Brian on BSB):

A good friend of mine is missing. He was last seen 7 days ago. We are not sure where he went riding, but he is/was on his bike and is pretty fearless when it comes to bad weather. We found his dog locked in his house this morning for over a week, which is VERY unlike him. His phone goes right to voice mail and he hasent reported to work in over a week. This is also very unlike him. He ride the hils a lot.

His name is Alex, he is from Peachtree City, and he is in his late 20's. He rides a black Suzuki Intruder with leather saddle bags. He's about 6 foot tall, red hair, shaved head, large tattoo on upper back, usually wears army boots. He's about 185 and in good shape.

Local authorities apparently are not to concerned, family is freaking out.

If you happen to run across him somewhere, have him call home.

First off Happy B-day Dave!

I finally made it home from Detroit, and I have to say its a much nicer place when looked at by the river. I worked a lot, which is a good thing, but didn't leave myself much time to ride.

I made 30 of the before mentioned patches (a month ago) along with another popular style Buell related design...those that have them will know where the design came from. They will not be for sale exactly, but I will be asking for donations to cover the cost of materials, my time, as well as pay off some hush money to the one we all know as G. They will be packaged as a set, they can either be ironed on or stitched on, super glue works well for me. I'll be camping at TWO, probably arrive Friday night some time. If anyone wants to secure a set, PM me...and I'll have them waiting for you or will arrange for mailing or delivery.

DD .. welcome back. Sorry we did'nt get a ride in. Hope your trip back was better than mine, I had rain from southern ohio till the middle of tenn.
I think you had one of the best spots in all of Detroit.

Matt .. Glad you got the Uly back going .. that was one ugly pic of it being pulled up by by the tow truck .. U up this weekend ?

The trip back was the same for me Eric, cept I got a welcome back to Atlanta award when I got inside the perimeter. Got the lucky dog yellow slip for 80 in a 55, got selected cause I had the bike on the back of the truck. First thing robocop asked "Is that bike yours?" Oh well, probably deserved it somewhere along the trip, just wish it wouldn't have been Cobb county......

Heading up after work tonight. I'll be easy to spot. Just look for the circus tent. I have no small tent ( that is in one piece ) and no funds so I'm bringing what I have .. a HUGE family tent. Sleeps half a platoon or something. Guessing this may stand out on a MC camp-ground.

F#*K! I dropped my bike in the grass the other day and broke the front brake lever. I replaced it but the mounting bracket was pinched a little and my lever wouldn't return freely. Last maintenance item before heading to Suches...fix the sticky brake lever. I go to flex the mount open just a bit and BAM! the upper tab breaks right off. DAMMIT!!! Digital camera is dead or I'd post a pick.

Looks like BTF is out of the picture for me. I'm bummin'. Did a bunch of maintenance on the bike to get ready, new spark plugs, tps, primary and clutch, engine and primary oil, etc., and now I'm grounded at the last second. Not likely to find a Buell master cylinder/mirror/lever assembly at 10:00 on a Thursday night.

What a bummer. I miss my Buell posse. Hope y'all have a fun time down there. I'll have to come down and ride sometime with whoever can make it, and try again in March.

Yeah I don't think that the Shed does Same Day Air delivery. I tried JB welding it last night but I just can't trust it enough to ride all the way down there and then ride all weekend. Not good when you go for the front brake and it comes off in your hand.

There's always a next time...have to keep telling myself that or I break into cursing fits.

Made it up to TWO around 9:30 and missed the ride up to CherryCola. Ended up riding with Slowride and a few of the Uly guys. We missed the rain for most of the day. Headed back up tomorrow morning.
