Should've bought a Buell sooner I guess. Me too.

Do hate to see you go. Least it's not that far. On the upside now I have a good reason for going riding in the TN mountains. Going to be able to make Buelltoberfest this year ?

To make sure Google maps is showing the right way, is it right near Garrett lake?

What do you need us to bring ?

Well, we made it home in the hooptie!
Winnipeg by way of Niagara and looping back to the A town is a loooong trip. It was fun but I am as glad to be home as the boys were to have us home.

We will be rubbing it in that we had a personal tour of the Buell factory and just happen to be there on a day the factory store was open so we will be sporting some ORIGINAL Buell apparel at Buell-toberfest.

Oh, and we spent the rest of the day at the Harley Davidson Museum were PBR is just a buck-fiddy at the bar.

Kdan got a phone interview for a REAL good job while we were gone and he thinks it went well so PLEASE, keep your fingers crossed. If he gets it I get to go back to school.

Anyway, sorry we missed the party but thanks to all the FB 3%ers for keeping me in the loop.

RT- Just BYOB and if you want you can bring some sort of side item for the grill-out. Chips and dip, pasta salad, something like that. We'll have the main stuff covered. Thanks, btw.

And sounds like google's got it right, Garrett Lake and Lake Cherful are in the center of Mtn. Park, that's where we'll be.

Come one come all!

Kdan- go man go! Hope you land the job!

$400!
Just goes to show, always ask more than you'll take, and who knows, someone may just give you more than your low price.

Best to ya Dan!

Adam, not sure if we'll be able to make.
You are still required to attend BTF.

yes please, and any other pop top bottles you get your hands on as long as they aren't green or Corona bottles.

the AA has gotten good revues so far, it picked up a second place ribbon in the last competition, so I'm pretty proud of it as well.

Been too long since I hit the dirt.

Went with Sanchez to http://www.highlandparkresort.com/ today and rode his DR250.

Great facility, the trails were challenging but the outer loop is pretty mild. MX track was rough with small jumps but there is a 2.3 mile MX track to open up in a month or so! 65 Acres of track!

All in all it was a great day, took trails 2,3,6,7, and devils Hollow overlook. The clutch cable broke on the over look and I had only rode trail 7 at that point. I went back to camp and Matt and I tried to get a clutch cable, no luck. So I kept on riding anyway!!!

Got some pretty long drifts, some pretty good air considering the bike too. There was a long stretch of mud that was a hoot to blast through. Great hill climbs and decents.

I was on the MX track and blew a turn to exit and made and extra lap to find a downed rider. The bruise on his forehead was HUGE, looked like his helmet chunked a pine tree!!!! Scary stuff. Cone to find out he and Matt had something in common LOL...

Well his buddy stayed with while I went up to the check in to get the crash team. Not without incident mind you. So I pull away with Lil Bloke right behind and Matt Gearing up, come off a downhill jump and decide to let the front end drift off track. OOOPS, the front end drops and I come off, banged my knee on a rock but not enough to take me out. Had to field repair the bars being out of whack, and fix the hand gaurd too.

After I got a few more laps around the outer loop the clutch cable broke on me. I ended up riding trails 2,3,and 6 with a broken clutch cable, the bike was geared like a dang tractor so it was easy to slam into first with a little extra gas.

The single track stuff was amazing, some really scary but wayy to much fun to ride. There were a couple hairy decent areas that were rutted out but not unmanageable. I ended up brushing shoulders with another guy who stopped on a decent.

To wrap up the day I took a Honda 450R for a ride, that bike was freaking sweet! The power was SICK and the the handling was dreamy. The bike would wheelie with a roll on at any speed in first and second, that was as far as I got. I put the bike in the R1 type league, fun to own but soo much power makes it a handful, of course seeing them on craigslist for 2k makes me want.

Hahaha! What a bunch of stick-in-the-muds.

I had a freaking great day out on the dirt. I hit a couple of trails and the MX track but mostly just ran around the outer loop on the small jumps. I think my ex's ex was probably about the last person I expected to find face-planted into a tree!

Hey Deadduck.. Do you need any more beer brewing equipment??

I have a glass Carbouy.. I think it is 7 gallons.
A bucket with spigot.
About 15 or so large bottles (Grolsh style, and cappers)
I have some other odds and ends as well like a capper, thermometer, hydrometer, etc.

I could always use more brewing equipment!

I've currently got everything I need for 10 gallon batches of all grain brews. All the meters and other goodies that are important plus some that aren't. 6 six gallon carboys that I keep on rotation for secondary and new brews. Usually have 4 different styles in fermentation at any given time. I scored 8 cases of empty bottles at the last East Atlanta Beer Fest, so that has me covered with bottles for a little while.

If there any other 3%er's wanting to get started in brewing, and you don't want to do it anymore, I'd say pass your equipment on to them to get them started and I'll fill in where I can with either equipment or where to find it. Sounds like you've got the basics for a good start in homebrewing, are you just not interested in it anymore?
With what you've listed, all you need is 15 to 20 pounds of corn sugar and some yeast, and you'de be well on your way to white lightning...........
Homebrewing is a fun hobby, and very rewarding, if anybody wants to get into it just look me up. A good online book to see if you're interested is How to Brew by John Palmer (http://www.howtobrew.com/intro.html)
It'll cover the basics enough to inform you on the journey, and then look up clubs that have brew days and meetings, I belong to South Atlanta Home Brewers. We have a brew day once a month and meeting once a month. The brew day is usually a 45 to 50 gallon batch of the style of the month. Those that purchase a share of the grains take 5 gallons home to ferment and bottle.

This is my little set up, its cheap and performs well.

Ratyson, if you want to stick with it, I'll give you the same support, although it'll either be on the phone or on here.

Anyone want to go out tonight for a bike night? I guess Nacho D's and Hooter is the thing to do on tuesdays around here. I'll be rolling out around 7:30ish..

Btw, I'm selling the Hawk with clean title. Works been slow and rough on collecting payments , Shelley's still in school for another 8-10 months. I'd make a 3%er a great deal.

I'll post up the goods on the Badweb classifieds

$25 IIRC.

Call two brothers and tell them Charlie sent ya, they may do it for less.

They are about a min. from cycle gear.

Deadduck,
Man, you have a great setup there!

I have only done DME brews... all of which have turned out great! I kind of perfected a Heffe after about 4 batches. It was, IMHO, better than any other commercial Heffe that I have ever had. And my friends seemed to agree with me. Not too shabby for DME... (+ added hopps so, maybe not TOTALLY DME..)

I just really haven't had the time to put into it over the last couple of years. And I feel bad that all this equipment has been sitting idle for so long when it could be put to good use.

I just paid the "Performance Evaluation Certificate" I received from Kenora Ontario's finest. I was going 120 in a 90, but the cop was real nice and wrote it for 109, so he didn't have to arrest me.
Kenora Ontario is a real nice town and I can say for sure that you can be through it in 3 minutes at 120kph.
A 15 day road trip and I only got hassled by the man twice! I must be slipping.
