Have a great ride Frank. Would love to join you guys but I'm going to the airport on Sat to pick up my mom. We're then driving out to Omaha on Wed to see my daughter graduate from Med school.

Then Memorial Day weekend is Dan and my 10th wedding anniversary so we're hopefully going to ride up to Estes Park for the weekend if we can find someplace to stay somewhat inexpensively.

Hope to join you in June. I can't believe it's almost June. Now the summer needs to go real sloooooow.

Frank, where are you? We should probably get one too.

We went for a nice ride yesterday to Rampart Range. What a beautiful ride. If I weren't afraid of the dirt part of that road, it's a nice back way to Deckers. There's just one steep part of the road that I would be white knuckled on.

Here's a pic of me and my new set up. I'm thinking of using it as my profile pic but I do like the racing pic.

Sure Flxmanlethal, send me your address.

Julie, remind me next time we meet up and I will bring a couple.

I would have loved to ride with you today. I had to leave work early. The last two weeks have been busy and I was exhausted so I left after 4 hours. I would have left sooner but the work kept coming.

I came home and was asleep within 5 minutes. I still feel like crap but getting better. I would like to know who came up with the 5 day work week. I need a part time job, this full time stuff sucks.

The thing we need to come up with, Frank, is to work a 4 day week with a 5 day paycheck (but not working 10hr days). Now that would be sweet.

Now your Uly would do the back way to Deckers with NO problem. Hope you feel better.

A good group of Bueller from the Denver club are leaving early Saturday morning for a two day ride to Pagosa Springs. They should have good weather on that side of the mountains. Another large group of us are going out to High Plains Raceway to watch John F. and others do the first race at the new track. Julie, enjoy your time with family and graduation day.

Jody, Dennis and I had a nice ride today. We all met at the Penrose gas station and headed to Salida via 50 West. From Salida we headed north to Johnson Village and caught 24 to Hartsel for lunch. We then mounted up and took 9 to Guffy and headed East into Cripple Creek. Jody decided we had been on pavement long enough so we took Phantom Canyon road back down to Penrose. I do not think we got over 10K feet but the weather was perfect. The pics are in no order.

Had a great day and good weather yesterday at HPR. John F. did well and got 3rd in his main race. Shawn Tarpin did great on his 1125r getting 3rd against two ama pro riders one being Jason DiSalvo. Nice guy by the way who really like the track. He said he would like the ama to race there but that will not happen because HPR is a amateur track.

Talk about leaning it over = wow!

That's great to hear that John did well, congrats to him. I'm trying REAL HARD to talk Dan into buying an 1125CR, a black one with the higher handle bar kit. We'd keep both the other bikes and have this one to SHARE. We're really thinking about it. A trip up to High Country might be in our future!!!!!!!!

Would then have to get it on the track to check it out.

Julie,
You can see it the last photo how he was actually scraping the side fairing cover and pipe. He said that the bike handle much better then his $100,000 Briembo/Ducati and his Suzuki. He is racing for Pikes Peak out of the Springs.
Happy Mothers Day!

Thank you John for the Mother's Day wish. You are sweet.

What does he do that he can afford that kind of bike? WOW

I saw that scrape. I wish I had the b--lls to lay my bike over that far. Maybe someday, but then again, maybe not. If I had just started at a younger age (now don't be telling anyone): )

You guys picked a great day to watch at HPR. Shane did amazing in his races. He is a wicked talented rider, he came in on Sunday from racing in the race. Telling Mark that the track was super slick and he had to be so careful, and wasn't able to give it any throttle. But, he ripped his rain suit by putting his knee down.

That track is amazing to ride.

Got a call Wednesday as Loretta was warming up to not come in to work.
Went inside, changed shirts and rode to Allenspark.
Checked out a public shooting area for some much needed artillery therapy.
Then I dirt tracked Loretta to the parking trailhead at Wild Basin, I plan on taking Lawana to the Falls there on Monday.

Felix, Buell used Harley controls until 96 so those are standard HD controls. In 96 the S1 had different controls while the S2 still had HD controls.

Frank and Lynn - have fun and be safe for the rest of the trip.

High Country's having a birthday party today.
Any of y'all in the area, stop by and say hi.
Should be pretty festive, Scott and Rachel(owners) like to do it up.

I found steel belt showing after my run to Allenspark the other day, so I'll be doing a nice end-of-tire burnout so I can put on a fresh one.
Hopefully, I can get Dave to take some pix of the cloud.

Yes, make sure Dave gets pics. He cracks me up the way he runs around with that camera.

I cannot remember the name of the person that I order my last set of parts with but I ordered them on Monday and they were at the house on Tuesday... You cannot get better than that. Please pass on my satisfaction with the parts staff at HCHD Zac!

Have fun today and post a few pics. Frank

Great party at HCHD/Buell today. Dan took the 1125cr for a test ride. He definitely liked it but not enough to trade in his TT. It would be a great spare bike to SHARE.

Got a couple of pics of Zac doing a burn out on his spent rear tire until it blew. Our computer is down for some parts so as soon as it's fixed, will get the pics posted.

Again thanks High Country, great party.

Jody, we actually rode to church but had to take my mom to the airport afterwards. Back to sanity. It's been a very crazy week, a whirlwind trip to Omaha. Saw my old house and school tho, it was pretty neat. Brought back some memories (maybe that's not a good thing)

Dan did some tweeking to my bike today and with the nice weather coming up we'll probably be going out a lot after work.

Hope to see you soon and that your ride today was a great one

We made it home ok after a great weekend in Gateway. I wish you guys would have been there to talk to an idiot I met on a 2003 Uly. At least that is what he told me twice! I had to walk away but I saw him about loose it in that corner leaving the resort.

It was a great weekend and the weather was perfect.

We all need to get together for a little ride sometime.

Welcome back Frank and Lynn. Welcome back Dan and Julie! Yep, I had a good ride today, but was lonely...ahhh. We need to all get together soon.

I was up on Gold Camp Road today and saw a black M2 Cyclone parked close to where the pavement ends and the gravel begins. Plate 223-UBK. I honked and revved and circled several times to see if I could get their attention and see if they wanted to ride together, but no one showed up. I figured they were probably on the other side of the rock face over looking the city.

Rode up to Divide where I got Julie's message. Decided to keep riding west and take the High Park Road back to Canon City and a cookout at a friends house.

All is well.

YAY!
Everybody is back safely.
Had a short weekend yesterday, dinked around with some scuffs on Loretta and put amber touchup paint on the wheels and weights.
Tried a little on the chrome cap of the fork pivot bolt and it came out optically near-perfect.

anyone want to ride Friday? pretty flexible as far as route / timeframe go. just need to be back in S.Denver by 5pm.
not looking for a racer-pace ride or anything, but i think i can probably keep up. still got a little winter brain rust to shake out, but definitely want some mountains and twists.

just throwing that out there...

I'm off work on Monday. I'd like to ride most any day. The Red River sounds good, but can that be done in a single day?
