I kinda liked the idea of the ZTL front wheel. Keeps it Buellish. Change the 1 to a 3, do it in Black & white, and clean it up...The rest is on you G!

Wow. I had not heard of that story before.
What the hell was that dude thinking?

I mean, if I found a dude following my daughter, I would be inclinde to stuff him... but it seems that from Gears point of view, he had no idea who this guy was, or what he was doing when he saw him driving down the road.

But, I do have to wonder why Mough turned around. Seems wierd.

Hey folks! Thought I'd pop in and introduce. New12r told me I should. I'm in Roswell, been on BWB for about 4 months now since I got an 06 Uly. Missed the 3%ers at Buelltoberfest somehow. Looks like y'all got a good crew.

Hadn't heard about the Ricky Gears case until today. All I know is if you can aim well enough to hit the rider you can likely aim well enough to hit the rear tire.

Maybe to get home?? If he followed the girls he prolly had no clue where he was and was simply turning around to go back the way he came.

I have followed the story from day 1.

Gear has shot at teens before.

Someone cleaned up the shell casings before the cops got there.

He fired two warning shots at a guy he did not even know was the guy following his kids.

He fired the third and fatal shot to Moughs back.

Gear told cops that Mough was trying to run him down, even though there was NO evidence to show that.

Gears daughters said that Mough rammed their car with his bike...(this was moughs first bike and still on a permit)

Poor kid was shot in the back, without ever being questioned.

Now his family can move forward.

Well, running good but sounding bad...broke a header stud on the front cylinder during the return trip from Knoxville for Thanksgiving. I'm researching solutions, seems lots of people have had to deal with this P.I.T.A., but mine is sheared off just inside the hole. Fun!

Sounds like Gear got what was coming to him then..
Sucks for Mr Mough and his family though.. Nothing will ever bring him back. I hope they at least get some closure from the verdict.

Acav80, Don't have the "Jim's jig tool" but I have a Blue-Point Snap-on bolt extractor master set, I use a tapered metal sleeve as a guide.

Works just fine, used it on my old 9R that did the same thing and we fixed L'daves tuber too. I think it was a broken stud for his trans or something. Anyway it worked...

I can mail it to you and then you can just mail it back. PM your address I'll mail it out tomorrow, you should have it fri. or sat

I think Shred's extractor set should do the trick, thanks y'all for offering. It will be a week or more before the job gets done cuz I'm out of town all next week for work. I'm still getting around, though, just operating in Harley-Fart mode. Blap-Blap-Blap!

I'm a little jealous of the jennings track day...never done one but I know I would love it. Y'all have fun and carve it hard!
