Sanchez......I used my superhuman strength and my gigantic biceps and everything I could imagine and no dice. I guess the pulley nut is B_S's kryptonite.

New12R.....Wykedflesh has his name on them. I still have the tranny though. If I can get the cases apart.

I would love to bang around on it!

Nice to see you checkin' in Minitrucker!
Heard you got a sweet new pony.
Post some pics!
I rode with Xwraithx a couple of weekends ago and your old bike was pitchin fits.
Must be the Buell in the blood!
You still out in Jefferson?

Medved1...
I would be down for a Sunday night at the Pie.

who's in if i make it happen?
Uh...me.

BS, nah, wanted to build a race motor.

Xbullet, Why on earth would we build a shop in the hills so we have to work while everyone else is playing?? If we race the shop would be closed Fri-Sun when everybody is up. Just playin the Devils advocate.

I do see a legit business op with a shop in the hills.
Honest wrenches/tuners
Parts and customization
Rescue squad
Bike storage

The shop could be open on weekends for pick-ups and deliveries.
Work could be done during the week.

Question. I just got my race suit and tried the thing on. It is tight, especially in the shoulders. I can get it on with some work but there is no way I can take it off without help. Is this thing to small or just right?

Stelth - I thought about that and went looking for a partner/investor...Hell I even had a name picked out, but the guy I wanted to go in with said it was no good. He has friends in high places in Lumpkin & White cty's and he said the plan is for eliminating all spirited riding within the next three years. They want to see the North Ga. Mtns look like Highlands SC. All old people and 35mph. Open a shop in Decatur and learn how to work on 'Busas. Safer bet.

Why on earth would we build a shop in the hills so we have to work while everyone else is playing?? If we race the shop would be closed Fri-Sun when everybody is up.

first part -- the good thing about being open friday/saturday/sunday is that you can be closed on monday and tuesday and have the hills to yourself. : )

racing would have to be an extension of the workweek. yer on the track but yer on the clock. winning means our bikes run better than the other guys. winning also means our riders are good. it gives you "street cred" so to speak. to get people in the door ya need buzz. that's how ya get it.

racers get the weekend "off" so to speak, and everyone else has to work the shop unless its their turn to turn wrenches or pass out business cards or hobnob. skeleton crew at the track, though. looks more impressive when you guys win. : )

How about "Flip Nipple's" ?

my turn to ask questions...

1.of course buells are the specialty, but would we be able to right off the bat work on IL4's, harleys, beemer, 2 stroke, etc? what are the realistic options for the shop (ie service)?

2. for rescue -- could we get hooked up with the county and get the contract for bike rescue in case of injury? i know we could get the rep as the guys to call if yer not hurt and just need your bike freed. winch on yer truck anybody? (that's winch, not wench!)

3. for storage -- would insuring that be too much additional cost?

4. true grits -- should we look into adding 50cc to our list of specialties? offer hopped up pocket rockets for mountain carving?

5. location -- i have 6 ideas. some near TWO, some off of 129, perhaps closer to dahlonega, or closer to blairsville. gotta see who we appeal to and how to make it easy for them to get to us.

i'm on page 3 of notetaking and i'm already testin' the waters on some money people.

Hey Bullet. Did you read my previous post? Here. Read this. http://thedahloneganugget.com/articles/2007/05/24/ news/04%20biker%20crackdown.txt

I'm not trying to poop on your parade, but as one about to become unemployed, I have investigated the options.

ok...so maybe they are tryin' to get rid of it, but motorcycles will always be here, and as long as men have testosterone there will be spirited riding. yearly hp increases on every bike on the market help that too...

plan B -- if in a perfect world you got a shop open and realized you were not gonna get to ride the roads anymore... what would be the next step?

A RACETRACK!!! and you already have a built in proshop.

i'm really pipedreamin' right now, but hey... i'm a risk-taker. aren't you?

Don't forget making carbon fiber (and other plastics) parts manufacturing.
I think we have a resident expert!

May also be able to get a metal fabricator on board.

We could also have a paint booth and do powdercoating in house.

Odie could also use some help with Special OPs!
We could be his remote facility.
Pipes, tailsections, heat barriers and clip-on conversions.

A lot of what we can do can be sold online too.
Worldwide distribution bitches!

That is a real concern, specially in lumpkin co. McClure hates all bikes with a passion and would love nothing more than to see them fall off the face of the planet.

Xbullet, I can fix anything that takes gas, not so good with carbs but I will learn.

Also, The buzz is out and it looks like some Buellagins will be headed out to Bike night at the new Hooters in L-Ville. Right off 316 on 120. The crew from BSB(Blokes sport bike for those of you who know Bloke and Laura) are out there on a regular. Cool cats hanging out.
www.Blokessportbike.com
Find the Stunnas and tell them you wanna follow to the stunt show at StoneCrest mall, they will be leaving about 8:30pm or so.

*lol...There ya go. All we need is a billion dollar investor.
How about a parts shop in a centrally located location? Offer installation and decent prices and no dickheads behind the counter. Why is Cycle Gear the only game in town? You open a shop that's open and working until 9:00pm when normal human's aren't working and I think you may have a go at it. But you need to run the gamut...Offroad, sport, drag, cruiser, stunter parts & service...One stop shop. The overhead is what'll hurt though. Too many models, too much inventory, but if you had a good retail guy...

}"If you are passing in a no passing zone, especially on the curves like this [or] you pass multiple cars in a double yellow, were gonna step it up a bit," he said. "That's going to be considered reckless driving. That's an arrestable offense." from the dahlonega nugget}
needless to say, the idiot in this article is makin' us all look bad. and yeah, we signal, and the risk of gettin caught is part of the rush of doin' what we do. and most of the time, when we see blue and blinkies, motorcyclists pull over and accept responsibility for their actions.

passin' on a double yellow in a curve is STUPID and we all know it. runnin' from the cops is STUPID. car or bike. but we know plenty of cops who ride as hard as we do (hammer71 ring a bell?) and i'm sure they would agree with this statement from the end of that article...

"Were just trying to say 'Gentlemen, be safe.'" added (Sheriff Mark) McClure. "Don't leave here in a helicopter. Don't leave here in an ambulance. And don't cause anybody else to."

i think that's all the 3%ers try to do on any given day in the mountains...

Tonight is the Bike night at hooters. I may be going to Stonecrest late to see the stunt show and pick up a GSXR shock for the SV.

CHI_Stud, Your leather will be a little snug at first, they will be fine after a day of sweat on the track.

Dont take anything McClure says good to the MC crowd serious. He had a few GSBers Pissing in his lawn a couple years ago and tore off outta there, remember he LIVES ON 60 and we tear right past his house on a daily basis, I actuall think I attemted a pass in mid corner in front of his place and he was in the car I was trying to pass, that explains the radio in his hand......
