ok, i think those bars i put on were alittle bit too wide.

i was leaving a friend of mines place. and i was revin it up trying to sound all cool, and i started to let out the clutch and my throttle stuck WFO next thing i knew i was facing the sky and then i was on the ground and i just looked up and saw my bike flip and slam the tail on the ground. so now i have to replace the whole tail section, the right peg, seat, and the brake lever. it's been a bad week. im just glad it happend where it did and not on any main roads. i would understand if i was trying to pull it and it came back, but that really was unexpected. and i know there was a million things i could have done to prevent it. anyway, im ok, bike is alittle banged up, but it's not goin to make me stop riding, just have to double check and make sure that everything is in working order next time.

so with that said, anyone have or know someone who has a tail and seat for an XBS? hell, i think i would even consider an R rear.

Jolf, glad you are ok dude! You know you got help fixen her up!

MR, Yes sirr! Great fun today, Nice to ride with ya again!

Jolf was not the only one to go down today. After I left the Nugget took a trip down the side of the Wolf.

All I know is that Sanchez is ok with a broken ankle and some lacerations on his belly from where the jacket slid up on him. Glitch is taking him in for the night so keep them all in your thoughts for a safe return home.

Chi-stud just called us and filled us in on the "Magnificent Flying Sanchez" . From what we hear he was DAMN LUCKY (or more likely is was a ) Took a lot of grace to avoid all those trees and rocks for that many floors of mountainside! Sorry you broke your ankle but much happier that it wasn't any worse than that. Take care , dude!

took a trip down the side of the Wolf
Something that I would rather not ever, ever, EVER have to witness again. Especially not one of our buds!
Thankfully, he missed 3 of the really big trees, not to mention the road sign. A broken ankle ain't nothing compared to what it could have been. I'm so glad he's ok.

By the way, that curve at the Wolf is not only hard to ride on a bike, it's hard to run on foot as well. I 'bout threw my own dmnd a s s down into the woods running along the side of the road screaming for Sanchez!

Sanchez, operative word for the day: Folding. Now use it in a sentence, "I will replace my footpegs with FOLDING pegs". Glad you are alive and still kicking, well, with one leg anyway. Heal up and let me know what you need to get her back on the road. You really are one lucky SOB!

To bad Sanchez I hope you heal up quickly. Lowsided a couple of times on 180 but never went off the bank but it has always worried the crap out of me. I am not very fast on 180 and I do not care who knows it. Jolf glad you did not get any damage to your body.

Ok, Talking to Sanchez last night he was coming around a hairpin and started going wide, he did the lean or die and saved it but the recovery sent him into a tank slapper that forced him off the side of the road.

I know for a fact that he was not going that fast(dont take offense Glitch)Because Glitch and Mrs Glitch were right behind him. Glitch rides with his passenger in mind and really takes it easy to keep the both of them safe.

I saw the pics and yeah man, he is the luckiest SOB I have met to date!

The other guy was a Over TWO rider.....
Conrr was in the ditch with him and he is who made the post.

I lost sight of my line and lowsided after catching a glimpse of another rider in my peripheral view who had seriously crashed. I lowsided, slid and did a back flip over an embankment with about a 45 degree slope. hopped up and the first thing I saw was his bike by the pole. turned around and there he was. I knew he was badly hurt and just talked to him to keep him conscious. his bike is a total loss, frame broken in two and the entire bike was mangled. he ended up roughly 150ft or more farther down the embankment from the bike and was laying across a fallen log with his mid to lower leg seriously twisted. not sure how he landed or whatever but the bike definitely hit an electric pole. I think what I saw was the bike sliding down the pole as I did not see him enter the curve or go over.

he's in surgery now and his brother says he broke his let T6-7 and also has a broken clavicle. EMT's had an excellent response time and were there within 15 minutes and he was out of there and off to the Chopper within another 15-20min. Thanks Ms. ? who called for help, good thing you were at home. Said she heard pop (his bike hitting the pole) and a few seconds later a skid (that was me).

Sanchez -- Get well soon, bro!

Just so everybody knows, he was a trooper. Glitch was first responder, so i'll let him give the details if we left any out.

Later that day, went for one last run up 60. Passed a car with Chihuahua Stud behind me, but Squidly and Clint had to wait to pass. Few miles down, we stop to wait on 'em and they never show. Turns out, Squidly had parts rattlin' off his Ninja. HAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

i love it when ricers lose more parts than Buells. : )

Jolf -- if ya wanted to join the club, we woulda made you an honorary member. breakin' tails is expensive. : ) I'm in for the rebuild.

bullet- yeah i know, i know. it's not that bad, just have to put the tail on and a few odds and ends, shouldnt be that hard. i'll have to figure out a way to get it to the barn tho, grab a case o' beer and work till it's done, figure it will only take a few hours.
next weekend it slam packed, rider's edge class.

Thanks for the kind words, y'all. With the exception of this pesky broken ankle, I'm in pretty good shape. I got a cut on my knee and some gouges on my abdomen, but my gear saved most of me. In hindsight, I could've just blown the line and ran wide, but I didn't know if there was any oncoming traffic, and I didn't want to head on a car or worse yet run another biker off the cliff.

Todo list for June:

Armored boots
Stickier tires
Steering damper

Special thanks to Glitch and Mrs. Glitch for taking me in and helping me get back on my foot. Without their help and some crutches from Charlie I honestly don't know what I'd have done.

I'll post some pictures up when I get a chance.

hey any word on the movie shoot yet

I received the following:

Awesome!!! I'm glad you're interested. I think we could create quite the spectacle with this scene. The tough thing though is that our weekends are booked because they are already occupied by scenes in which we require the most extras and are entirely location-dependent. So, I think we're definitely going to have to do it on a weekday. However, there might be some wiggle room as to what time we shoot it. If evening was better maybe we could make that happen. There are three scenes we are shooting that day and I would have to check with the other locations about availibility. I thought maybe we might have more time to make sure we get it right if we started in the morning because one of the scenes we are doing that day is an interior and it won't matter at that point if the sun is down. It will matter for the motorcycle scene though if the sun is down. I think what you should do then is come up with a list of people who are definitely willing and able to come down to Athens on the morning of Thursday, May 3rd and at the same time come up with a list of people who are definitely willing and able to come down that same evening. We'll then see how the two lists compare and see what our best strategy is for ensuring the best scene.

Thanks!
-Patrick

I replied:

Patrick,

I have gotten a great response so far:

HOLLA!

HOLLA!!! i can bring my own guns, too!

HOLLA! That sounds like a blast.

YES! I have a motorcycle and an AK-47. They go together like chocolate and peanut butter.

I AM DOWN!!!!!
i have two shot guns and two pistols, im ready to bring it!
im lookin at an SKS and a springfield M1 carlos hathcock "white feather" editon 7mm rifle 24x scope hehe

Holla! I got no guns but I've got some of the badest assest(?) blades you ever seen! I'm in, I've been waiting to be a movie star all my life.

I wanna be in the movie. Can I wear my clown suit???

Everyone is really excited about the opportunity.
I will post to see if anyone would be able to do it during the week but I am highly doubtful.
I think this will be a huge success if you could manage to shoot the scene with us on a weekend.

Let me know if anyone, can make a weekday shoot.
Hopefully, he will realize the opportunity of working with the 3%ers is worth adjusting his schedule.

dam Sanchez, man get well soon I am glad that all you broke is an ankle. Keep an eye on your health things shift around on the inside sometimes and it is not always caught rite away, if you start getting weak or having labored breathing or abnormal bouts of indigestion let the docs know this might be serious signs of shifting of your visceral organs into places they ought not to be. It can often take days for these signs to occur. just keep an eye for these things. But man I am glad you’re ok.
