Talked to Sam this morning. She said that they had a rough night with Charlie up every hour getting sick. After refusing pain meds (they make him sick), they gave something to help with the pain and his stomach. She said that it seemed to ease some of the pain and let him sleep for a little bit. They were still waiting to see the doc to pinpoint exactly what is hurt in his neck. Sam is doing really good and totally rocking in her supportive wifey role. Mom and soon-to-be Maike, Jr are good, just tired. And again, she wants to thank everyone for all the well wishes.

Update: two broken bones in his neck, he does NOT need surgery. They are keeping him again tonight and he has to wear a neck brace for the next 8 weeks.

No surgery is great news. I hope Charlie can get more rest so he can heal.

Please remind Sam to take care of herself. That little one she's carrying will take what he/she needs, leaving her with less for herself. She needs to take any offers of help, even if it's just time for her to take a nap.

Jack just came from Charlies room. C4 is fractured, but no surgury. They also xrayed his hip and an ankle, but no breaks. He has some road rash, but seemed in good spirits (Loratab). Sam is doing well too. They are letting him go home tomorrow.

Silverbullet was able to pulls some strings and get Charlie's bike delivered to his shop, so they wouldn't keep getting charged for storage. Way to go S_B

Sounds like it was a pretty bad crash,(There all bad in my book) That suxs! our prayers are with you and the family!

I am sore as can be but will be ok. This neck brace sux but it is better than surgery. I think the worst pain right now is my Black and Blue balls!!

I really dont remember what happened, I do remember a horrible tank slapper and after that the paramedics.

I will still be at march badness but I dont know about riding just yet.
