Once again, I find myself sitting on the side of the road next to my M2. Cross your fingers that when my friend shows up with some gas, it will start back up. There is no earthly reason why a 4 gallon tank should be empty at 104 miles, but if it isn't just out of gas, it's going to be a mess getting it home.

Well they are pretty big. Are you going to be able to get the last ones downloaded?
Was it a problem with the size of the files or with the CD itself?
I saved them on my hard drive so if you need another disk I can send it to you.

It was the gas. The nugget has a 4 gallon tank with a 2 gallon reserve. It hits reserve consistently at 80 miles, which bums me out, so I usually just ride it around on the reserve all the time and refill at 120 miles. This morning for god only knows what reason, it ran out at 104 miles. I guess I just wasn't paying attention last time I bought fuel, and I didn't get a full tank?? Mommas, don't let your babies grow up to ride carburated motorcycles.

Oh, and the haunted house was freaking awesome! Medved's GF brought a friend, and we died laughing at her. She cursed and screamed bloody murder the whole way through. Even one of the employees almost fell over because he was laughing so hard at her.

I'm trying to let my babies not grow up to be computer weenies who can't count. Use the reserve Sanchez, it's a feature. Although the new Bambi Mobile has a gas light, we ran out of gas twice before I decided to fix that sucker. I wish it had a reserve.

My previous theory held that the reserve was fully half the tank, and filling up over and over made me a sad Sanchez. I finally tested that theory today after work when I headed straight for a gas station. The tank ran dry at precisely the right moment, and I coasted up to the pump.

As it turns out, my tank only holds 3.25 gallons when completely dry. Who knew? Now it makes a little more sense that it hits reserve after using 2 gallons.

Hey Gang & Ganstas. For what it's worth, I was over at W.O.W. this morning(for those of you out of the loop) http://www.wowmotorcycles.com/main.htm

Anyway - They had a XB9S low with a low seat. It looked ok, except for a busted clutch lever and a massive dent in the left side frame that was mostly covered by a puck. If someone gravitationally challenged was looking for a really god deal, they probably can't sell this due to the dent as a high dollar lightly used bike. If they are asking their usual high price, then they might not know that the frame is the gas tank and they're as stupid as any other dealer. I didn't see a price on it, but if anyone's looking...

Don't know if anyone is interested of not but Kdan and I are leaving around noon this Saturday to take the back roads up to Cloudland Canyon and go/watch the hang glider's show. We will be staying over until Monday morning but a couple of our other buddies that ride say they are going to try and come up Sunday to ride/watch/ and just hang out so if any of your more adventurous folks (MedVed, Sanchez) are interested, let me know and I will send you the link and see how/when you guys can hook up with us. We maybe riding sometime Sunday for a bit but I am hoping to fly that afternoon if they have an opening.
