C'mon, c'mon, c'mon...Some of us had to sleep through this beautiful day! I wanna see pictures!! I wanna hear stories! Who crashed? Who kept up with Mountainrider? Who didn't think Black sunshine's got the prettiest bike? Take your time. I'm here all night.

The gif is great.

Sanchez you have earned the dirty part! BA and I are glad you are alright!

I had a lot of fun today, it was really cool to have all the Bueller's up in the hills.

I will get some of our pics posted soon.

For those who did not come you were missed, you also missed out on about 5 crashes today

Glitch: rofl!

I had a great time today despite a pesky sign, a 10 foot drop, and hours of torture on the "thong." Does any company make a seat with a built in ice pack??

I think the highlight of my day was leaving Charlie in my dust! Ok, so maybe it isn't quite as impressive when he's riding two up on a Blast, but I still had fun.

Oh, and special thanks to everyone who helped excavate my bike, especially any who might've gotten mud all over their nice clean leathers. : )

WOW! What a day! I had the best time. I am also worn slap out. My knees couldn't of taken anymore abuse from switching sides and dragging knees. Nothing like all that Buell Thunder in the hills

Sanchez....I mean "Dirty"...That Mutant of yours is one tough bike. I'm still shocked that not one single scratch was done to you or your bike. That sign had it coming to it....word is that it was taunting riders all day long.

M1a65...glad you made it today. It was fun hitting the twisties with ya.

Buellalove......got respect for ya, girl.....You handled that big 1200 beautifully (no pun intended). Hope you made it home in one piece. I'll ask my dad about his trailer and if he thinks it will fit your DR. I'm pretty sure that it will hold 3 bikes. Don't forget to call the dealer about your shock.

Glitch, Buellish, Mountainrider, Jonboy, Fran_dog, New12r and B_A, Smokescreen and Miss Behavin'...always a pleasure.

Miss Behavin'....props for riding on the back of the RC. You got guts!

Someone trying to earn the name before MBIII strikes? Sounds like it worked out for the good. Can I get one of those stickers? In blue?
Wish I lived closer to you all. Course I still would have been at home painting the bike though! See you all soon,

Good pictures Glitch. Today was pretty fun. Glad you're alright Sanchez. I can't wait till MB3. The next two weeks my mind is going to be filled with visions of the north Georgia mountains and waiting for the big Buell grin that is so soon to come.

Great pics! Glad to hear you are alright Sanchez! I wish I could warm up on a road that was even semi-curvy! Nothing but mostly straight roads here. I need to get there as early as I can on Friday so I can get rid of the flat spot on my rear tire and warm up the senses a little. See ya'll soon!

Great pics.. Looks like you folks had fun!
We had a small turn out for our sunday ride. 7 bikes (yes, I am still the only buell . We took the back road twisties up to Lynchburg, TN for lunch. MAN those are some fun roads.
Had one guy go off on a ZX6R... down into a 10' deep ditch. He wasn't hurt, but the bike suffered 2 very large rips in the frame on either side of the steering head. Had it been a buell, I am sure there would have been a fire involved.

Then I got home... looked at my brandy new tires with about 100 or so miles on them, and to my shagrin found a staple stuck in the centerline of the rear. I figured that it could not have gone deep enough, but upon trying to pull it out, I was proven wrong.
So, now after getting one ride out of my rear tire, I am forced to buy a brandy new one.
Oh well, at least I got to ride!!!

Hey all, Had a good time up in the hills too, knocked off the rust and got some much needed practice in before MB3. Good food, good company and great riding. Glad to see Sanchez come outta it without a scratch, something we can all laugh about now that he made it. Much props to Buellalove, what a tough chick. She followed me back to the bat cave and we knocked out her exaust repairs tired as she was and after I got her lost down some back roads going home (DUH!). Glitch, thanks for the shots form the hill. It's cool to see the crew in action. Looking foward to next time.

Ratyson, I pull my tires off and use automotive PATCHES from the inside, just like new and tested to well over 100mph. You will have to sign a waiver to get someone to mount it though.

New12r,
I was hoping to hear some news of that sort. I would hate to get rid of a brand new tire for a VERY small hole. The guy that did my tires said that he can patch it if I wanted him to.
Anyone else have an opinion on this?

Thanks!

What New12r said. You shouldn't have a problem with a patched tire that only has a small hole from a staple. I've heard of quite a few people using plugs, but I am not a fan of them myself. I would patch it, if it was my tire.

I've gotten home on a patch but change the tire soon afterward. But I've seen people ride the treads bald with plugs/patches too. The inside the tire method is best if your gonna go that route. Think to yourself, your doing 100 plus on a 1 inch square contact patch at a 45 degree lean angle. Is that the time for a patch to let go? Maybe on a geezer glide topping out at 70mph but not on a Buell (or other hot rod) where heat, load and stress is a factor especially in the front tire. Just my opinion...

I can verify from personal experience that dropping your Buell down a 10' ditch will not cause a fire. : )

Not bad at all. The peg on my shift lever is slightly bent, I lost my $12 bar end mirror, and there are some light scratches on the tank. I had cruise control for a while there due to all the mud caked up in my throttle grip, but $.50 later at the bike wash station at TWO, I was back in action.

Yes, but your frame did not rip open like this guys did.. It was ugly to say the least. For us XB riders, that would have been a ruptured fuel tank.

Odie, while on the subject. I got my first real ride yesterday with the new pipe. First thing first... I need to wear ear plugs. It wasn't bad during the ride, but when I got home I definitely had residuals in my hearing... LOL
Also, the seat-o-the-pants-o-meter seems to indicate a bit more pull in the mid range.
Cruising through Lynchburg, TN brought about many a suprized look from the usual HD crowd that gathers on the weekend in the square.
I am definitely loving my new pipe!!! THANKS AGAIN!

Hey guys, it is my understanding that the triple trees will rip off on a Buell, thus saving the tank/frame. This is per the design to avoid massive ignition. Which is a good thing...There's only one kinda fire I want between my legs and that ain't it.
