Odie - I like it! Do you foresee any problems leaving the belt exposed like that? I'm torn between Aesthetics and reliability when it comes to removing the guards.

Kdan- I only removed the bottom one but I think the top will have to go also. I am going to run a new, improved belt after I'm done getting yelled at for the stuff I've done lately. I don't anticipate any problems though. Granted, I won't be off-roading it though so it should stay relatively clean.
Thanks for the compliment!

M1A65: You will have to change both front and rear sprockets if you want to run the new belt. It would definitely be worth it if you could get a deal un the pulleys...

Odie....wow! Never would of guessed that the CityX plastic would look that killer. May I suggest you primer the Chin faring and side pieces as well.

Like I always say, "better to ask for forgiveness that permission." It's always worked for me.

B_S- thanks man!! I was real surprised when I bolted them on and stood back and looked at it. It looks killer I think. I have thought about the chin fairing color the same as the frame also. I just bolted on nice, new black ones last night!
Buckle guard is perfect! Looks great. Thanks much. Putting it on after lunch.

Glitch- maybe a photoshop is in order here?!?! Can you make the chin fairing pieces (all 3) the same color as the frame? Thank you "O King O the Photoshop"!!!

Rob Zombie is featured in this months Men's Health.

Zombie's Zen:
1. Anger is all about management. You choose to manage it or you don't.

2. Embrace strange obsessions. Today's weirdo is tomorrow's mogul.

3. It's nice to be important. It's more important to be nice.

4. If you get too comfortable, you loose your edge. A little pain keeps you striving.

Just put the traxxion grips on my bike. Man those are awesome!! The left one was a pain in the A$$ though. Had to sand the bar on that side to get it smooth of the rubber. It's not coming off on its own though. I took the 3rd eye mirrors off and the bike looks so much better without them, but it is a pain turning around to see all the time. I'm gonna get a cateye and put it on. Do you guys like yours?

Well, I was 1 whole quart low on oil when I topped it off. I hope it was just a service mistake from the dealer. The oil light had never came on so I'm sure it is fine. I'll keep an eye on it. It doesn't leak and I am sure it has not burned a quart in 1000 miles.

Glitch-are you still running the race ecm with the TFI unit? I am considering taking my TFI off and just running the race ECM. Just curious...

New 12r-would you be willing to help me out with a header swap like you are with B-S. I feel confident that I can do it, but you have done it before from what I understand and there is no substitute for experience. Besides, I drink alot when I am wrenching so I might F it up anyway.

2. Embrace strange obsessions.
I've always felt this way.
Glitch-are you still running the race ecm with the TFI unit?
No, I felt it wasn't worth the trouble, the ONLY time you're running lean is from idle to a little over 3000, and it's not that lean. 16 or 17:1 if I remember correctly. You'll notice more popping on decel, no biggie, and all you have to do is get a new air box (if yours is cut) to run a little less lean, but then you have a small torque hole at about 32 or 3400.

OK, Odie's bike with bottom fairing same (as close as I could get) color as the frame.

And while I was doing that, I wondered what a jet coated header would look like, so...

I like the contrast of the bright polished headers with the otherwise dark and brooding bike. They tie in with the polished rim trim as well.

Actually, now that I look at the originals, what would REALLY be cool would be some tinted clearcoat that would make the exposed wheel metal look the same sort of "heated stainless" that looks so good on that header.

Kind of a "every bit of this bike is built for business" type look.

Can you do that Glitch? Preferably on my bigger versions of those pics over in the pictures section : )
