They're probably from New York and thought they were moving to a quiet peaceful community cause their real estate agent "neglected" to inform them of the fun on the weekends. But yeah, they still get my vote for euthanasia candidate of the month. And dear, you always make me look good.

I apparently moved my key switch to a bad spot, my brake line caught the edge of the key and TURNED IT OFF WHILE I WAS RIDING!!!

New12: Sounds like an obstruction keeping the hot exhaust in the pipe, or its running way too rich but if the engine was'nt that hot that would'nt be it. Hope its no big deal, Thursday is just 1 day a way.

Hey all,
I have a job possibility in the Atlanta area, what's it like? THe girlfriend and I currently live in the Minneapolis/St paul area (actually about 60 miles s.e.)and are trying to find someplace similar but with more riding time. Good coffee, a reasonable cost of living and good A.A. meetings are important. It would be nice to find a smallish house within 30 to 50 miles that had a few acres and a decent sized garage for under 175,000.00 is that doable? If not what will that kinda house money buy in a reasonably safe neighborhood? Schools don't matter because we aren't planning on reproducing.

Crashm1- I do Residential Finance here in Atlanta and you definatly could find a property in that range.

As far as the Riding it's INCREDIBLE!!!
You're about an hour away from some of the best riding in the country. Most of us 3%er's live in Gwinnettt County and it has some awesome roads. I have a 45 minute loop that I take right here in my backyard that has some great corners. Every road is twisty around here, I don't think there is one straight road within 20 minutes of my house other than the expressway.

Crashm1, As A4TR said, this is some great riding country out here, We can ride in my neck of the woods four hours and not hit the same road. The mountains are just over an hour away and cost of living is not too bad.

Just curious who offered you a job? I see you are a tech, I work for Hendrick Automotive at one of their Honda Dealerships in Gwinnett. We had over 7 techs break $100,000 last year so the market is good.

New12r, if it was dark, there may not be a problem, it may have just been hot pipes glowing red in the night.
On the other hand, Lean = Hotter, that's why when our bikes get real hot the ECM make the mix more rich. Sorry S_B, if you're running rich, you're not going to run hot before you foul the plugs.

Crashm1 - I'm from Winnipeg and let me tell you, you will need to learn how to turn. The A.A. meetings are good and if you get in with a good crowd, the support is great. The housing situation is good here and the season, for you will be 12 months with a few crappy days in January.

Weird thing happened today-

I met new12r for lunch and we stopped at A&W. We were parking our bikes and this guy B-lines it across the parking lot to us. He starts telling us how he bought an 03 XB Firebolt but he couldn't get it to run right to save his life.
We talked for a bit then he says that he had enough and traded it in last Summer at Cycle World of Athens- DOH

New12r and I just looked at each other and I told the guy- "Well this is/was YOUR bike" he said no mine was a lighter blue- to which I had to explain how I dyed the plastic. He then went over and looked at the headers and said "This was my bike, I polished the headers before I traded it in".
He was surprised when I told him I hadn't had any trouble and that his problem was that he had the wrong spark plugs in it. He said he thought it had the performance plugs but new12r was the one that pulled them out and verified that they weren't. I told him now that it has the right plugs in it I haven't had any problems.
Poor guy traded in a perfectly good bike because of spark plugs. But I'm glad he did cuz his loss was my gain.
Apparently I bought the bike for $600 more than he traded it in for. LOL I guess CW thought there was a problem with it too and just wanted to get rid of it.
What a freakin' small world, in fact he said that he was with a group of riders parked at the church last weekend off 60 when we all went by.

The shop is Catherines Auto Repair found a post on iATN.com. 100K would be nice, my current job is salary because I'm everything the service writer, tech, teacher and manager(long story)which makes it tough to be on commission or flat rate. If you haven't checked out iATN you should it's a pretty good place to find technical or shop management help.

I've been sober closing on 25 yrs (got sober young) so I don't need a ton of support but if we do this it's gonna be pretty stressful for awhile and it can't hurt to hit a meeting.

Twisty roads, a Buell, some decent caffiene and above forty degree temps and I'm happy.
