Oops. Thread died. Well done henrik

Crazy, for what its worth, I'm Sorry mate. But like in real life sometimes someone says something that just doesn't come across as intended. Rereading everything I realize I most likely did misunderstand you and focussed on the wrong part of your message. Not trying making an excuse for flaming you, but the fact that I had a couple a beers really helped me making a case against you..

I dont know why everyone gets so whinny about people wanting to add performance gains...

why put a chip in a musting, why add headers

why did I lift my truck
why did I put a shift kit in
why did I put a locker and 4.56's in
WHY WHY WHY

its 'not as fast' period.
end of discusion.

you like it stock? great! some don't. so mod away I say. does anyone NEED TO? no but I'd say most dont even NEED the bike anyway. mine is PURELY a TOY.

I'm going to have to start posts flaming eveyone that still has the stock can on, and left the tea-strainer on, and didn't take off all the extra plastic crap. oh, and didn't polish EvErYThiNG

AHAHAHAHAHAAAAAaaaaAAAAA

You're bad Misato. My eyes were still watery from my last post and now this .. I can't take it anymore!!

Now I'm gonna stroke my engine and bore it to 1800cc, stage 9 heads, 110mm throttle body, turbo charger, 8 gears, tripple disc brakes and I don't no what else I'll get. Beware, this is getting BAD!

This post is the most fun one I have read yet on here! =) I dont know about anyone else on here, but what I have said is something I would most definately say in person. I am very blunt. I am also the 1st to appologize if I have offended. If I have scarred anyone deeply then please accept my deepest appology and press on with your life. =) INGEMAR... NO, I dont think it is the crappiest bike out there. Just crappy in acceleration and top speed. I am not saying anything that anyone else hasnt. I do look forward to seeing this bike someday keep up with the other liter bikes. I still believe that dreams can come true.

Modifying the bike is half the fun! I don't think any XB remains stock that long, everyone changes something - Its a Buell - its what you do - you want more power - modify it, don't want to look like the rest - modify it, Crash - fix it and modify it - lol - Buell has created this great bike that stands out very nicely indeed in stock form, yet is also a great pallet for further modifications down the line - keeping and adding on to your own personal ride's looks and abilities - it's a redblooded American thing to do, and fun!
Plenty of power brokers for this engine and the BADWEB sponsers are definately top notch - talk to them and pay the Piper, and then go play!
Got Thump?! Just Blasting on the Dark side! EZ

Crazy04,

trying to give You a serious answer:
Your first step should be a less restrictive intake and exhaust system. Next I would do some headwork. When done correct You can use the heads for a big bore kit as well without further modification. We got around 105 rwhp from a XB12 with FAST intake system, a Gangsta exhaust (I believe it was one) and a Stage 1 head work. If thatīs not enough You can add a little cam duration. This will be pushing the numbers to probably 110+ rwhp. If You still need more go big bore up to 3 13/16. This will further open up the performance door. Keep in mind that with further modifications adjustment of the injection system will become necessary (please donīt try to go to a carb). If that ainīt still enough You will have to wait until I have finished my XB drag race engine project for further information : )

Best regards

Alex

How fast is fast enough? Fast is a relative term. The XB's are fast. 0-60 in 3.6 seconds (XB9R) is fast. It is faster than just about any sports car in the world. Now if you compare it to the latest and greatest sportbikes it is not so fast.

I understand wanting more HP, it is just human nature. I want more HP but not so that I can beat R6's, just because I like getting the most out of my toys. When I bought my bike I understood exactly what I was buying and I guess that is why it seems fast enough for me. I bought that baddest looking and sounding bike on the road, with the most soul, character and attitude that you could possibly engineer into a bike. You know what, I wouldn't trade that stuff for all the horsepower in the world!
